Dell 15-7559 not charging, good battery

I have a Dell 15-7559 motherboard Daam9amb8d0 which does not charge the battery.
1. Battery is confirmed good on 2nd identical laptop
2. Dell Charger identified in bios as 130w (Original)
3. Battery recognized in bios Battery is performing normally
4. Bios was updated.

Reading on battery connector
9 -11 = 11.12v
8 =3.3v Checked on scope signal good
7 = 3.3v Checked on scope signal good
6 = 0v with battery 3v without battery. so good

Reading on PU15 charging IC
1-4 = 19v
5=3.3
6=2.7
7-10 = 0v
11-3.3v
12=3.3v
13=1.3v
14=1.19v
15=.32
16=1.05v
17-20 = 11.1v
21=1.02v
22=0v
23=0v
24=6v
25=10.8v
26=11v
27=11v
28=18v

Same voltage on gate (connected to ACDRV) and source (connected to CMSRC) of PQ40

I think I have the same problem. Using power adaptor or battery works fine, but battery won't get charged. The battery is recognizable (detected and considered to be "charging") by both BIOS and the operating system, but the battery percentage never increases. I am also suspicious about the PQ40/PQ41.

What happens latter to your motherboard? How did you manage to fix it?

PS: I have zero knowledge about repairing motherboards. Just trying my best to find a possible way to fix my laptop (dell inspiron 5577). You have the same symptom and similar motherboard schematic.

Hi piernov,

If PQ40 and PQ41 are the real issue like you analysed, any suggestion about how to repair/replace those two things?

I asked help from multiple local technicians but they think it is too risky to replace those them. Personally, I can't stand a laptop without battery

Hello, I am having this same issue but I know the issue is the chip position labelled PQ32 literally has nothing there. Where can I source a replacement. Laptop is fell Inspiron 15 5577

I am facing the same problem receiving only 19v on 1-4 pn on batter done evrything replacing mosfet and resistor main charging ic not seems to working anythinng need help

This is very high for the battery charge voltage.

Remove all power & with no battery. Meter in resistance mode (2k scale is ok).

Check each linked mosfet for possible damage as follows:

Source (1-2-3) & Drain (5-6-7-8)
Source (1-2-3) & Gate (4)
Gate (4) & Drain (5-6-7-8)

of mosfet @ PQ37; PQ32; PQ33.

Post each resistance check.
