Check whether adapter is recognised in bios setup or not?

        Thank you SMDFlea.
The laptop is Dell latitude E5450.
The battery is genuine Dell, 51wh, GSM10,7.4v.
I have another GSM10 battery which charges fine on this laptop.
When i replace this faulty battery it does not charge.

It's G5M10 battery. It's over-discharged and probably (99%) the controller locked the battery and cut the main battery power line by sending the signal to controlled battery fuse. This battery can not be dissembled easily or at least without damaging the battery housing by the inexperienced person. But if you want to try some repair attempt at home you can try to charge the cells to 3.3V each, check the fuse and try to charge the battery in the laptop again, if it's doesn't help there's nothing you can do more without the special equipment and knowledge on a subject.
