    MacBook Pro A1708 screw guide?

Good day everyone. My dad gave me a macbook pro A1708 i7 version and its in pieces... literally. But no it wasn't crushed or broken. He tried to replace the keyboard by himself, tried to disassemble everything and later realize it wasn't that easy. He gave up and decided to let me take over.

I know I can replace the keyboard but the problem are the screws. Its all mixed up and I suppose some are missing. I honestly dont know where they go. Different sizes and lengths. I cant seem to find some info or guides from the net as they only show how to disassemble it. Maybe someone here have an idea on where the screws go. As of now I'm currently removing the keyboard. Dad already had the replacement keyboard which cost 140 bucks. I hope everything goes well, Thanks and have a great day everyone!

Thanks! I already tried iFix. I can only see a few screws on the whole procedure. I emailed the person on youtube who took apart the same model I have. Just waiting for response. By the way keyboard is very hard to remove unless you grind the spot weld.

        Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

MacBook Pro A1708 820-00840 stuck @ 5V, no power, no charging
        by EpicFix
Hey guys, I need a little help here. I have a MacBook Pro A1708 820-00840 stuck @ 5V. Started off affecting just one port but now it's affecting both. Both CD3215 ics were replaced but the issue remains. One port does a loop and the other stays at a constant 5V. Both CD3215 have 3V incoming. I checked for PP3V3_G3H @ R3000, C3100 and C3108, R3001, C3200 and C3208. The weird thing is though that the ammeter shows the current draw (5V @ 0.5A) coming out from the port as opposed to it going in. Any ideas on helping me fix this?

MacBook Pro 2018 with Activation Lock
        by envym
        Hi everyone!

I have a 2018 MacBook Pro (with Sequoia OS) that I've been using for years with no problem. I recently received an M2 MacBook Pro so I'm mostly using it and not the 2018 one, but since a friend of mine needs a computer, I thought I could restore my 2018 and give it brand-new-like to my friend.

I tried using the built-in tool to restore the MacBook (Settings > General > Transfer or restore > Delete) but it got stuck when trying to remove the Find Device configuration (it asked me for the password for my old Apple ID -now I use the same account but...

        Hi everybody

        I have Macbook A1708 820-00840
It goes through all steps to start
exclude last steps power PPVCCCPU_S0G and PPVCCGT_S0G

        Besides, no exchange on
        CPU_VIDSCLK
        CPU_VIDSOUT

        However CPU_PWRGD is OK
        CPU_PROCHOT is down.

I replaced SPI dump from here:
        https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...n-me-pram-bios
        Unfortunately did't help me.

        Would...
