Question for the highly technical driver/hardware

    Hello,

I was working on this board that had liquid damage. I was able to replace the mosfets (pq44) the caps (pc192, pc193, pc194, pc195, pc190) and the resistor pr222, NOW I have power to the board.. There was also damage to the LCD connector on the motherboard,, I was able to use solder and fix the issue.. Now, I'm able to load Windows and use the laptop without any issues, EXCEPT, WHEN I LOAD THE VIDEO DRIVER... Interestingly, the laptop will work with the intel driver loaded anywhere from 40 seconds up to several minutes until it completely freezes and it has to be manually shut down.. If I uninstall the driver I can use the laptop all day without fail..

I originally thought it was solely a driver issue. I tried multiple drivers from the newest to older drivers and the result is the same (yes bios has been updated)..

My question is, if it's hardware related what would be the signal change if any at the LCD connector on the motherboard? More specifically ,, would the installed driver vs no driver loaded have any effect on the LCD data lines that would be noticed at the LCD connector?

      LED DRIVER KEEPS DYING
      by osrex
Hello, this is my first post and im just a beginner, so be easy on me guy. thanks

i have a LED chandeilier that switches colors from white to cool white to warm when toggling the switch, it has 24 LED arms, each arm is 30 CM length.

i have no datasheet at all for the LED lights, all i have is its length.

long story short, testing the chandelier on the ground, and it works fine for 1 - 2 - 6 hours, no problem.

as soon as i fix the chandelier to the ceiling and bury the driver inside the hub,...

Hardware firewall to block ad servers?
      by Hondaman
I found an interesting summary on a wiki that Youtube "right to repair" enthusiast Louis Rossman put up. He suggested I could use a hardware firewall and pfSense as a firewall, and use pfSenseNG as an ad blocker. Or use OPNSense as a similar alternative. Seems like it would be easy to set up, but it only runs on the hardware supported by BSD. (I'm sure the developers and maintainers of BSD are super-busy and cannot support every single piece of hardware out there, so I can't fault them.)

The trick, apparently, is to "assign IP address lists from sites like I-blocklist...

Vizio E55-F1 dark backlight zones. LED failure or Dimming Zone Driver?
      by howardc64
      Problem

Fixing a dimming zone TV with LEDs not lighting up. Dimming zone circuit introduces added variable to diagnose LED and/or Dimming Zone Driver board? Some 1/2 rows of LEDs appears to be out in active dimming zone off AND some brightness flickering with active dimming zone high while playing changing video

      Model & Board Pics

      Conflicting Spec

Vizio indicate this TV has 10 dimming zones. However, LED strips and Zoned light driver connector suggest 12

Need Audio Driver for Thomson P14C4BK128 (Windows 10/11)

      Hi everyone,

I'm looking for help finding the correct audio driver for my Thomson P14C4BK128 laptop.
The sound is not working properly, and I believe the audio driver is missing or not installed correctly.

      Here are the details:
      • Model: Thomson P14C4BK128
      • Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit

If anyone has a working link to the driver or knows where I can download it, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance for your help!

      Macbook a1707 2017 model 820-00928 GPU issue
      by sofles
      Hello there

I have problem with Macbook Pro 15" 2017, model 2017, MB code 820-00928.

I bought it as broken with some artefacts on the screen, first I thought that this is problem with ribbon cable but after inspectiing ribbon cable I know it is fine. I tried to reinstall macOs and then I figured out that this must be something with GPU as installation freezes at the end (when drivers are loaded). I installed Windows and was able to install every each of drivers except GPU driver, as soon as I tried to install GPU driver - black screen and restart.
