Adding a clock battery to action camera to retain date&time when changing batteries Campark X25
            by flat-earther
I have a cheap action camera with an annoying trait, every time I change batteries the date & time gets reset and I have to set it again.

To solve this problem I want to add a small internal battery inside it which will keep supplying power to the camera for a while while I change batteries so the date & time is retained.

I have opened the camera and I think there is enough room to add something inside to accomplish this:

The camera is powered by a 3.7V nominal single cell lithium ion battery.
So I need to connect another battery in...

PS4 loses date/time settings every time
            by Dannyx
Good day folks. Pretty difficult problem here and I was hoping those more knowledgeable with consoles can provide some input, since the internet was of no help and I couldn't find this issue anywhere else, plus I haven't exactly messed around with PSs before: I've got this PS4 (slim?) here which can't hold on to its date and time settings. It loses them as soon as you remove mains power, like a cheap digital clock when it's unplugged. If you leave it plugged in, everything's fine. Checked and replaced the CMOS battery inside - no luck. Measured the resistor+diode assembly that follows directly...

Sophos XG86w Firewall forgets the date and time as well as the DMI environment variables after power cycle
            by juergenb
            Hello,

I have a small Sophos XG86w firewall here, which is still working so far. But there is a problem with the BIOS and the DMI environment variables.

The hardware forgets the date and time after a reboot or a power failure.
The DMI environment variables are also reset to default values.

I have now tried 2 different batteries (CR2032).
I reset the DMI vars via an EFI shell and with AMIDEEFI64 (v5.21.0057).

However, after a reboot or a power cycle, these values are reset again.

It is an Apollo Lake platform with an Intel...

            Thinkpad E14 black screen

            Hello guys,
            I got laptop E14 as non-working.

            type: 20RA001EMC
            motherboard: NM-C421

Laptop reacts to the power button, but no picture, no vcore. I dumped bios, cleared ME but no impact. I pushed bios from slighlty different E15 laptop cleared here on forum. Laptop went alive, vcore on, picture showed:
            0271: check date and time
0183: bad CRC of security settings in Efi
            bios is under password.

Then I rutned off laptop, turn on again and it returned to 1st state - no picture, no vcore. Then I experimented with...

            Lenovo E590 no boot
            by regi
            Hi all.

            i need some help.

My Boss gave me a brand new never used Lenovo E590 that was lying around for a year or 2.

I unboxed it and it wonΒ΄t boot, the power led flashes a few times and then it switches off.

I opened the laptop, disconnected the battery and the bios battery, shorted the pins of bios battery and put all together again.....still no boot.

The notebook is out of warranty and so i flashed the bios with the dump from another E590. Laptop now boots but shows error message:

            0271: Check Date and...
