What is this pink Stuff?

I have this Lenovo laptop that power on but no display. I checked the basic stuff (like screen etc...). When I disassembled the laptop, I noticed the following (I've never seen on any other boards).

Seems to be a thermal pad

Checked some original pictures of this motherboard and there seems to have been some kind of connector before. The pink stuff is also on the other side of the motherboard, so it seems that it was "drilled" from one side to another.

it is not genuie. i think some kind of fingernail to isolate ripped board

Maybe it was repaired before, or else maybe they bought it refurbished without knowing :o
