I have this Lenovo laptop that power on but no display. I checked the basic stuff (like screen etc...). When I disassembled the laptop, I noticed the following (I've never seen on any other boards).
What is this pink Stuff?

Re: What is this pink Stuff?
Checked some original pictures of this motherboard and there seems to have been some kind of connector before. The pink stuff is also on the other side of the motherboard, so it seems that it was "drilled" from one side to another.Comment

by jimjoe123I have a Dick Smith 37" LCD TV, Model GE6804. I am using it as PC extended monitor only.
Problem is while watching tv, I hear a semi loud click(like a electrical breaker tripping due to overload, just sound like it but no actual electrical overload), then screen is covered with green or pink. I can still see the original picture image but overlayed by green or pink. See attached images. Pink.jpg is what I see, and Normal.jpg is before green or pink screen, What I captured was pink screen, but about 80% of time it's green and 20% of time it's pink.

Hi everyone, over the past few months i have taken a deep dive into motherboard diagnostics and I love the challenge. Currently im trying to learn all about the signals that travel around the motherboard, such as frequencies, enable signals High and Low logic states etc. And i have been learning to read and using the Schematics for this board that i requested here on Badcaps forum, from a few months ago, this is such a great place for these.
I’ve been working on a GA-970A-DS3 (rev. 1.0) that does not post. This motherboard has been my main learning board. I would like share...11-23-2023, 11:02 PM -
by vpowerHi,
I have this dead laptop, if I plug the charger I see only charging led light blinking 3 times.
I disassembled it, removed the battery and checked with my multimeter:
red arrow input connector 19v
green arrow first mosfet drain 19v
white arrow first mosfet source 3v
yellow arrow second mosfet 19v
pink arrow 3v
blue arrow third mosfet shorted to ground
current resistor 3 volts on both sides
Any advice? I have a thermal camera and I could inject low voltage if needed.
Thanks...04-24-2024, 01:24 AM -
by YellowJacketHi friends,
I got this monitor, which works perfectly fine, except there is pink discoloration over right side of the screen ( picture1 ). When I disconnect LVDS cable, there is no sign of pink color, so its not backlight issue ( picture2 ). I took a closer picture of the upper right corner, you can see even some kind of pixel defects. Its only on that pink area ( picture3 ).
I believe, there is some problem inside the panel, the question is, if it is fixable. I have never met this kind of issue, so I really appreciate little help from you guys. What I tried so far - interrupt...-
