Asus A45V (K45VM)Can Power Only in Battery???

Hello There i have repair Asus A45V (K45VM).

Problem: can power only on Battery- but can charging also- cannot work on standalone if i plug only the charger? to weird....

Primary Check.
1. Check Adaptor Charger ok and i replace a new tested one. same 19v-4.74A,not lock
2. check the charging terminal - okey have 19v out.


Any Technical Idea?

Check fuse and Mosfets around DC IN area on mainboard.

Try to download schematic if possible.

I already check.

but i have notice the Voltage of this?

The Unit turn off, Plug-in The Adapter, the i Check (PQ 101).
using Digital Tester...
123 - S - 19Vdc
4 - G - 24.7Vdc
5678 -D - 19Vdc

how many voltage you receiving on pl102 or PR101?
check shortage on PQ106 and PQ101? remove these FETs and and check on meter?

i Check now.
PQ106 - is okey also the PQ101 no problem.

BTW:

if I Check on the Unit using battery then i Plug the Charger adapter. check the voltage of PQ101. no Valtage at PQ101?

If your PQ101 PQ102 and PQ106 are OK then you have ACDRV (pin#4) problem on IC BQ24725.
also check pin#6 ACDET on IC BQ24725 which must be voltage something 2.6 volts.

Answer:

PD101
pin 1 = 19.2V
pin 2 = 19.5V
pin 3 = 19.5V

If your PQ101 PQ102 and PQ106 are OK then you have ACDRV (pin#4) problem on IC BQ24725.
also check pin#6 ACDET on IC BQ24725 which must be voltage something 2.6 volts.

Charger Plug-in

test Prove black for Gnd
RED for the Following

ACDRV (pin#4)= 19.2V
ACDET (pin#6)= v2.6V

Do you think this IC Have Problem.

anyway tgis type of IC prod code is BQ25A

are you receiving 3volts on switch when plug the charger only?

i Plug Charger have 3.V something i press on 1.5V then back to 3. volts Something

Something does not make sense about no Voltage on PQ101 because D is connected to Vin which is the supply Voltage from DC input jack from the AC adapter.
So the B+ at PR101 shows 19V when adapter is connected (without batteries) and stay at 19V when power button is actuated, right?
And the same B+ point shows about 10V (batteries Voltage) when on Batteries only, right?

Sorry but I do not understand your answer.
So are you saying that when the AC adapter is connected to the lap top, the DCV at the Drain pin of PQ101 (which is connected to the DC input jack of the laptop) has ZERO VDC?

Apologize i mean if i used Battery only, The Laptop has been normal operate and if i Plugin the charger adapter. yes can charge.

then i turn off the laptop and remove the battery then, i plugin the charger only. then press power switch. cannot turn-in on? also i notice now .if i plugin the charger the light indicator on power switch have light but dim?
