Hi Everyone,
Can someone please explain how can I remove firmware password from Mac-book A1286 820-2850 A EMC2353 i5 2.53ghz .
Do I need to flash the new dump? or I can remove the password from old dump using some method?
If I use the dump from ghostly hacks and replace the serial number would it work fine?

Check VDD3(3.3v) and VDD5(5v). Check for short circuit on all the coils (use diode mode on multimeter put one prob on ground and second on coil 0.00 means short).Leave a comment:

You can remove SMC reset chip from the board and see what voltage do you get at ISL6259's output.
After the SMC reset SMC talks to the ISL6259 and control the output from ISL.

Hello everyone,
What technique can be used to find a power related issue on a laptop motherboard. For example a laptop will turn on after pressing the power button but will go to standby after few seconds detecting over current situation. How can we troubleshoot this. Laptop stays on if i unplug the LVDS cable. Laptop shows Display on VGA port, motherboard is "Berlin 10G" (google it)
I have tested the LVDS cable and Screen they are both good. Replaced graphic chip already, problem stays the same.

The first thing you need to do is strip the board and dry it completely. You can either put the board under the good sun for few hours or you can strip all the plastic parts off the board and put it close to 100w watt lamp (make sure you don't put it to close). You can put it into the electric oven as well and bake it on 80 degrees for 10 minutes (No microwave).
Do a visual inspection and check for any corrosion around the connectors. You can use a toothbrush and isopropyl alcohol or methlated spirits.

Check the voltages on all the inductors( processor, ram power) and see if any of them are missing when it turns on.
Unplug the memory and see if it stays on.

I Started the whole things again today. I cleaned the CPU and reinstalled it properly. All the pins looks good.
I noticed if I put the oscilloscope setting to 2 volts per division and 5useconds I can see that the pin one goes low for half a micro second (as I saw in the datasheet for reading sequence). similarly, I can see some movement on pin 6 and 7 which are clock and data pin. But, it only happens once for half a micro seconds after that not movement.

I found the datasheet and checked the voltage but no movement. I cannot identify the reset pin at the bios. See attached photo for the voltages level.
After using the prob at 10x I can see 32.768 khz at xtal.
I tried to put pressure on the chips but no luck.

It was me doing it wrong. It does have the clock running at 32.768 crystal. I flashed the bios aswell but didn't fix the problem.

I have checked the voltage on every coil and they seems fine as far as I understand. Check picture I marked the voltages on it.
I don't have programmer to flash bios but I am looking forward to buy one.
