it could be a bad smc. u need a second hand smc from a spare board.

Actually i don't have any spare board. Its very difficult to get here. That's why i searched for new one.

I ordered for the NEW SMC chip. Before that i got some doubt about this board. why this board not giving PM_SLP_S4_L.

Today i got New SMC Chips. I replaced it and i got a new problem on PPBUS_G3H. Now PPBUS_G3H is showing 8.35V. But before i replaced the SMC it was 12.51V. anyone can give any solution ? New one show F2117LP20H V only But older one was F2117RVPLP20HV is it ok ?

I checked the motherboard completely according to schematic. i found that PPBUS_G3H is lower by ISL6259HRTZ. Input is 16.5V but output to PPBUS_G3H is 8.35V. i removed F7040 before checking the PPBUS_G3H at ISL6259HRTZ. Is it by ISL or SMC anybody have experience on it ?

You can remove SMC reset chip from the board and see what voltage do you get at ISL6259's output.

After the SMC reset SMC talks to the ISL6259 and control the output from ISL.

You can't replace SMC chip with brand new chip or any other one it has to come from the similar board. Bios inside the SMC can't be programmed.

I removed SMC now ISL output is 12.21V is it ok. but before i replaced the original SMC the PPBUS_G3H is 12.51V.

Did you ever have any luck with this board? my 820-2565-A has just died and there appears to be a bad fuse right next to the display port.
I noticed you do not have the correct board view for this board, on the 820-2565-A the display port is not mounted on an angle, it should be at 90 degrees to the board on the 820-2565-A.
This is probably a very old thread by now. I'm hoping to find the problem or the correct boardview somewhere.

i have my own macbook pro a1278 820-2565-A with on me was working fine until now just wont turn on.

when i connect my charger i can see a dim green light on magsafe. Any suggestion for me.

Also there is no physical or liquid damage to it.

Dim light on magsafe may indicate a bad dc-in board.
