  • Re: Numark NS6 Usb problem

The reason it takes me so long to reply is because i was too lazy to find my log in details. Here i am booting from my main backup after i had some migration issues recently i basically lost my main drive and the machine i mostly use doesn't have the log in details.
So. Whenever i have to make an invoice or do something from my main drive i boot up from this drive and the badcaps site has the login details stored on this one.
It's a bit of a lame excuse but i've really had enough of resetting passwords because they are never remembered across...

I was never selling that card. It is in a mixer i was fixing for a friend.
I have been suggesting to you to buy a cheap but complete unit and either accept it's condition or use your mixer or some skills to fix it up. All of those links i sent i thought were good options to get one working fairly easily at around €150 and still having yours as spare parts that you could keep or sell off.
I'm still curious to know why you think yours has a blown chip and how it became damaged (most common is liquid damage)?
If you like i can ask...

Hi. So, you found a card and bought it? The listing is not available any more.
Sorry i took so long to get back to you. Regarding the information of the controllers i saw for sale. I am fairly certain that the information given was correct as the asking prices reflected the condition and descriptions of the sellers. I have been taken for a ride within the classifieds market on several occasions but i think we would be ok here.
My location is France in the Alps.

One of the reason i suggested getting an entire controller rather...

Also, the old one probably just needs reattaching but, if the through holes and board are damaged it looks pretty tricky to hotwire to the next available component. See here, obviously you can look at your board to get an idea of the scale of the soldering work needed if the board tracks are damaged....

Here are some others for sale in France. the first one he says it makes a scratching sound sometimes then it disappears, perhaps contact cleaner could work?

This one is in Grenoble. 2 hours from me and i know people living near there but he won;t send it in the post.

Sorry i don't really look at my emails much.

I have one of these downstairs with the cover still off i think. let me go see which board you mean.
This one world except for a broken effects knob but i have been too lazy to screw it all back together and my friend has not pestered me for it yet. Only 2 screws in the back, here we go!

Right. I see what you mean. I call the main board the largest one.

Do you want to try to repair yours if we can't find one. I'll also see what i can find. I'll also send...

Just a few things. Way back you seem to get sidetracked listening to this guy going on about replacing the chip. have you checked that the chip is getting the correct voltages on the pins that supply it? Perhaps you just need to restore voltage.
There are a load of these in France and UK look on leboincoin.fr ebay.rf and ebay.co.uk one guy is selling a main board for £75 but if you bought a complete unit you would have more spares or parts to sell on.
Also you can check facebook marketplace.

    Another thing that caught me...

Why mess around with all this. Buy one or two broken units and swap parts till you have it working. By now units can be found for between £40 £150 with questionable performance. Use as parts, keep or sell the rest as spairs. You will probably turn a profit.
I saw a main board, tested, for £75

    Yes 2 years later
    Things move slow around here.
I see what the problem was. First i need to navigate to the appropriate forum subject. Once there the button appears.
I did not realise what the forum jump button was for or how to find the list of topics.
Once i got there the rest was easy.
    Sorry for being an idiot.
    Thanks guys.

  • Re: MacBook Pro 13 2009 A1278

Hi Thanks for the reply. I had also sent you a PM regarding this issue as you seem to have helped quite a few others in similar situations.

If you look at the photo Quickbird144 had posted above my board looks very similar. I did find the schematic but not the board view. Also i am new to reading this type of schematic and without the board view it seems tricky.

If you look in his photo near the display connector (sorry, not port) you can see the white fuse (just to the left) I am not sure how to use the schematic to locate...

  • Help wanted with 2009 macbook pro no power

Hi Guys. Hopefully i got this right and my post is in the correct place. I suck at forums. It took me an age to find where to post this question

I was just about to sell my old macbook pro when it died on me. I can't find the boardview for this machine but i found a similar one. Board is 820-2565-A

Battery seems to be charging ok and indicator lights seem to be working. No fans nothing, everything else seems lifeless.

I found a blown white fuse near to the display connector. On the other similar boardview i have this appears as a diode D9701 is the...

Right you are. Sorry guys every time i come to this forum i can't work out how to make a post. I have been looking over and over to try to make a new post and it has got me baffled. I can't even work out how i posted this question about the charger a few years ago.
Why isn't there an obvious button that says create new post?
    Thanks.

    Re: a1278 emc 2351 bios needed ,

The closest thing i could find to my blown fuse is not a fuse on this board but a diode which could be used as a fuse i have a white fuse which is blown near the display port but this board has D9701.
Seems to be a backlight power supply but on my machine everything has gone dead, no fans but i do have battery charging and charging led's seem to be working. If my fuse is also for a backlight then why would it have blown along with the rest of the boards power?

Good work guys. This board seems similar to mine, i might try the board view to see if i can trace back my problem. I'm still looking for the 820-2565-A view for 2009 13" pro. What year was this board?
    Thanks

  • Re: Apple Macbook Pro A1278 no Power

    [QUOTE=raajkumar;696232]Hi,

I have a apple macbook pro A1278 i5. Its having some problem on SMC.........

    Hi raajkumar.

Did you ever have any luck with this board? my 820-2565-A has just died and there appears to be a bad fuse right next to the display port.
I noticed you do not have the correct board view for this board, on the 820-2565-A the display port is not mounted on an angle, it should be at 90 degrees to the board on the 820-2565-A.
This is probably a very old thread by now....

Hi. Wondering if you ever found a boardview for Apple 820-2565-A ?
Seems i have a blown fuse and one side measures to ground (near the display port on the same side as the port).

  • Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

    Hi Guys.
It's not my first time here but i must admit i haven't been reading on the site for a while. Recent problems have brought me back for help with a macbook pro that died on me after many years of trusty companionship. And just as i was about to sell it
I'm an enthusiastic electronics hobbyist but always learning, and it seems to be a slow process for me trying to get to grips with this tiny architecture and where to find schematics and board views.
I hate stabbing in the dark at problems but...
