Asus K73E (K73SD) - Headphones, no right audio

I have replaced the headphone (HP) jack on this motherboard for a client, who report that the the socket was broken and that audio sometimes came out of the speakers and sometimes out of the headphones.

I have replaced the HP jack, then discovered the following faults:
    1. Speakers were faulty
    2. jack detection not working correctly.

I have replaced the speakers with working ones, which solved problem 1. Problem 2 - The through-hole for pin 5 of J3721 was damaged, so I soldered a jumper wire from pin 5 on J3721 to both pins on SL3723 and this has seemed to solved this problem. But I am not sure if this is related to to the main problem I am asking help for.

I have just checked the schematics and it shows that pin 5 on J3721 should be connected to pin 2 on SL3723. Would connecting pin 5 on J3721 to both pins on SL3723 cause the "no audio on the right side" problem that I currently have?

The HP jack is J3721 and the pins are labeled:
    1. GND_JACK
    2. AC_HP_L_CON
    3. AC_HP_R_CON
    4. LINE2_JD
    5. N31360998
    6. GND_JACK

I checked all nets related to the left and right audio for the HP jack and all have continuity.

I have attached a number of files which I hope will help you, help me, figure out this problem.

asus k73e audio pinout.pdf - shows the test results from testing all the nets related to the left and right audio for the HP jack. The others are schematics for the nets, HP Jack and Audio Codec.

    Thanks in advance.

If SL3723 is an inductor, yes, shorting it out could be an issue. However i would rather lean towards faulty audio codec, especially if it's the kind that drives the headphone output directly, without coupling capacitors or series resistors.
