    Dead MacBookPro 13 late 2011

    Hello badcaps pro´s
I could need some help here. I bought a broken MBP for using a good touchpad and battery. But now i am curious what could have happen that the Book is dead. The owner told me this story -> Hy tried to change the RAM and couldnt manage to get the screw out of the case. So he tried to "open" the case with bending the metal away (yee... i don´t know why) It was the screw in the corner close to the magsafe port. Now attaching the power without battery the LED is blinking in light green and orange.. took the bord out and saw two orange components under some kind of glue.
Please could someone tell me why this thing looks burned ?
(guess he shorted something with the screwdriver)
    greetings

    what i already saw / heard ->
when i power the logicboard the light is dimmed green... then after a few seconds it starts to blink when it finally switches between green and orange... the same pattern the light flickers there is a VERY VERY low clicking noise on the motherboard. Any ideas ?

Oh.. heißt, dass diese 2 Bauteile durch einen Kurzschluss angeschmort sind, ist eher unwahrscheinlich?
Na wird dann wohl als Totalschaden weiterverscherbelt.. schade

I don't believe I have to say this but please check Louis rossmann's video on YouTube .

One thing thought I really hate him for being self center and ego maniac with a lot of swearing , he's got a lot of experience with macbooks.

I only watch a couple of his videos and he's right.

There are a few things that you need like the basic one wire line from charging adapter to always voltage.

How to check its easy if your in domain but he keeps telling everyone but I think he does not get it.

Use your brain! Use your brain its easy.
Not everybody got the skills like him.

Check his videos you will fix your Mac if you pay attention.

Be patient . you will get there
Just cook it! It's already broken.

MacBook Pro 2011 turns on with keyboard light , screen dead
                      by Rav_tangle
Hi all , thanks for having me & I think this has been asked before but my case seems a bit odd.
I have a MacBook Pro , board 820-2915a and it turns on , chimes etc etc , keyboard lights up, fans spins , can turn caps lock on/off but screen is dead.
Iv tried the resets , shine torch through back logo , nothing , it seems the screen has no power. If I plug charger , it charges but if I disconnect battery it displays green light but won't turn on. Iv tried screen on with another board & it works & seems I'm not getting any voltage at pin 2 , next to ground pin .
                      is this...

Strange! Acer laptop not powering on but charging the battery (orange light on when charger and battery plugged in).

                      Hello Everyone!

I have an Acer Aspire A315-42 laptop. I generally leave it on for long time by closing down its lid (so it enters the sleep mode). Recently, it rained quite heavily in out area. And the humidity and moisture seem to be high. So one late evening, after I opened the lid and turned on the laptop, it did power on as the blue light turned on but after it booted to the desktop screen, just 5-10 seconds after both the screen and blue light went out and laptop shut down (the blue power light turned orange). And after 2-4 seconds that orange light went off and the laptop died.

So I have this strange problem that has cropped up recently, this machine has the AMD Radeon HD 6750M with 512mb video ram and the Intel HD Graphics 3000 built in chipset 512mb video ram.

                      I7 2.2ghz quad core
                      16gb ddr3 ram
                      The above GPU chipsets

The machine starts to the Intel HD Graphics 3000 chipset unless I have any applications open that require the AMD Radeon HD 6750M, everything looks normal there are no graphics artefacts and and machine runs normally. If...

Apple Mac Mini A1347 Late 2014 completely dead no power
                      by waakye
                      Hello guys,
Thanks for all your supports. Really appreciate them.
I have a late 2014 mac mini that is completely dead. No power led no chime and does not boot when the power button is pressed.
I did all the PRAM reset and SMC reset an nothing just dead.
I took the back cover off and noticed that the fan spin slightly then stop and the cycle of the fan spin and stop continues.

Really hope someone can help me out again as this forum is the best out there.
                      Thanks in advance.

How can I be sure that my EC chip is dead?
                      by double_DD
                      Hi all,

As the title suggests, how can I be sure that my EC chip is really dead?

I've recently gotten into this hobby of laptop repairs, and have successfully brought back to life a couple with some easy fixes, mostly shorted caps.

Now I'm working on HP Probook 455 G8, that had some "devil" run around on 3V line, burning a bunch of stuff. Luckily I have a dead 455G7 (for spare parts) so I managed to fix it (swapped burned parts) to a point that it will charge (both on barrel jack and usb-c), but it doesn't want to turn on. There is a 3V3 on a keyboard...
