    no power

My laptop was on and all of a sudden it went off,I tried powering it on but it doesn't respond. Both the power and the battery indicator light is off as well.
The battery was not charging when i plugged in the adapter.I used the battery on a friend's machine and it was properly working as well as the adapter.
So i opened it and find out that a component on the board is burnt around the D36 label. Please help me to resolve it......I have attached a picture of the burnt component. Thanks
