Thank you, that worked! I think mine may have as well, turns out I was having issues flashing the chip, had to erase the chip before writing and move it to a USB 2.0 port from the 3.0 it was plugged in to, but it's password free now nonetheless! Cheers!... -
Hello all, recently acquired a CF-54 MK2 with a locked bios. I dumped it and attempted to edit it, zeroing out the region under AMITSESetup that corresponded to a few of the dumps I compared here, but after flashing and booting back up, it says bad cmos (probably since the battery was removed) and then asks for a password again.
Model: CF-54F5518KM
S/N: 8BTTA03278
I've attached both the initial dump, made with NeoProgrammer, and my attempted edit. I'd love to learn what exactly I did wrong if anyone has pointers! Thank you!

Yeah, I have an old Phenom II HP board that has it, might end up just trying to take it off that. I'd really prefer to find where to buy them just to make things easier though....Leave a comment:

Asus G750JM board view and unable to find replacement LVDS connector?
I recently picked up an Asus G750JM, and the LVDS connector was fried from the last guy forgetting to remove the battery before putting a new LVDS cable on. I already replaced the cable, but the connector itself is still bad. I took it off, but I'm unable to find a replacement online for some reason. I'm not sure if I'm just searching the wrong thing or what, but I just have no idea where to get one. Looking for a few of them, because I've got a few other asus laptops which use the same connector which I need to replace (tried to take the connectors off of them, but the plastic melted).

I honestly have no idea where to find it, I can't find anything on this specific model, and everything else I found was behind a paywall (and I dont want to pya for something that I dont know if it's real or not). So if someone could help me find the board view and schematics for this thing, that'd be awesome! It's not doing anything at all. -

Hey! I'm here to introduce myself, I'm a highschooler who's looking to get into board repair. On a whim, I bought a lot of 16 macbooks off craigslist (for $20!), and an Asus zenbook. 13 out of the 16 macbooks need board repair, as well as the zenbook, so I'm trying to get the money to buy the equipment I need to actually do it.
