well got this from another store , they mention certain parts on the keyboard not function , in this case , y u h j n m , does dont work , tryed several keyboard the same issue , occurr , flashed bios , the same issue , replaced KBC still the same , replaced finally the keyboiard sockets , and still persist tje problem , cheked continuity between socket keyboaard and kbc and all paths seems functioning ok , since continuity is ok for all pins .. but now im stuck , any clues ??

    i apreciate any idea

        what resistor? near the keyboard?

I got a cq58 that does not work like 3-4 keys
Just cook it! It's already broken.

Re: dv6000 at 8 mcp model , keyboard not all keys working.

ohh sorry , gonna explain now , i was full busy this morning , to much work as usual ,

So after all replacement i've done stupidely , because they take me much more time that simply removing and resolder some resistors _:P

so the resistor im mentioning are the ones responsable for the keystroke act ,

in this case on the AT8 schematic for dv6000 chek RP42 RP41 , one of them was not giving the correct ohmic value , suposed it should be 10k , and it was wide open , so even if there was continuity , since the resistor was almost infinit was not allowing for the KBC to recognize you were pressing one of the DEAD keys ,

allong this you also have around 30 caps that somethimes can be shorted not allowing for the keyboard to work as well .

So for does who have problems on the keyboard even after replacing keyboard , chek first of all continuity , then chek schematic to see were are the keystrokes , and chek if values are correct if not , it will not work

you can find the keystroke part im speaking on the page 29 .

btw there is also more 2 resistor , simple resistor but does i cheked instantly and they were ok , also 10K , R181 and R190 .

            any doubt just ask
