Hi! This Mac has been an headscratcher for me, I can't seem to figure out the issue. The Macbook has gotten water damage to the front of the keyboard connector and battery connector. The keyboard connector was dead, by which I mean it was completely corroded and I have replaced it with a brand new one.
I have verified all the pins are connected to the main board and the main voltages (PP1V8_AONSW_KBD_ISNS and PP3V3_AON_KBD_CONN) are both present, with and without keyboard attached.
Unfortunately, the keyboard does NOT want to work, caps lock LED not functioning as well as any other key. I have tried two different (known good) keyboards / topcovers with each their own trackpad + cable. Trackpad is working preOS, keyboard is not. I have checked the lid angle, that does not seem to affect it in any way nor is damaged.
I'm out of idea's. Does anyone has experienced the same or similar?
Kind regards,
~ Vlie
