Customer took the laptop and he will come after a week, I noticed that if I close the laptop lid and then open it then the laptop won't turn on, I thought the hall switch is bad then I removed the j5250 and j5260 (hall effect pad) and the laptop turned on and after a few seconds it turned off, no display and I put the j5250 and j5260 then the laptop turned on and the display came on, what would be the problem
Do I need to replace the j5250 with a new one or will the display come back on just by removing it

Test the SMC_LID sensor that is inside of the trackpad which may be faulty. Suggest to have available a known good trackpad for testing. You are confident that the display is not faulty from flexgate? Test if the caps key toggles after a period of boot time. Perhaps the display is dark due to this known issue with this series. If you truly disable the lid sensor, the display will continue to consume current with full on brightness and will drain the battery very quickly - even when the lid is closed. Therefore, this bypass is not the answer.

Battery is a known good battery? Test the SMBUS SCL / SDA lines - check their voltage to ground. If either line is flaky, this can halt the boot process since the same lines are being shared with the ISL chip that creates PPBUS_G3H.

There are sensors in the trackpad. Test with a known good trackpad for this unit.

              Macbook a1706, dead keyboard.
              by saronno
Anyone has experience troubleshooting keyboard on this model?
From schematics it seems an i2c keyboard, the problem is I can't find a good test point con scl and sda, in order to see if voltage is present (usually i2c works with the 2 rail pulled up with a resistor to a voltage source ... components attached to the two rail communicate pulling the line down.

              Hi,

              my MacBook Pro 15" 2018 Touch Bar (A1990) doesn't charge anymore. Board# 820-01041-A

I'm not experienced in diagnostics, but I want to try to solve the problem with your help, because every local shop charges around 600€ (650 usd). Which is the value of the whole Macbook.

The Macbook was charging when suddenly the "charging sound" appeared every other second for around 4-5 times.
After that the Macbook was dead. It isn't charging anymore.

The USB-C Port where the charger was plugged is burned. Also The Cable and the...

Macbook A1706 touchpad and keyboard not working. Please help
              by B2L_Repairs
Hi guys i am new to macbook repairs (i mostly do microsoldering on iphones and android devices. I need your assistance with macbook a1706 (touchbar edition) that came in without touchpad and keyboard functionality. External keyboard and mouse does work but the keyboard and touchpad on the macbook does not work. I changed the touchpad flex, also replaced the touchpad but the issue persisted. I then measured voltage on the board and found that PIN 44-50 of the touchpad connector (J4501) got 11.2V instead of 12.6V. Those pins required 12.6v and they get their 12.6v from PPVIN_S4-TPAD_FUSE . I measure...

MacBook Pro 2011 turns on with keyboard light , screen dead
              by Rav_tangle
Hi all , thanks for having me & I think this has been asked before but my case seems a bit odd.
I have a MacBook Pro , board 820-2915a and it turns on , chimes etc etc , keyboard lights up, fans spins , can turn caps lock on/off but screen is dead.
Iv tried the resets , shine torch through back logo , nothing , it seems the screen has no power. If I plug charger , it charges but if I disconnect battery it displays green light but won't turn on. Iv tried screen on with another board & it works & seems I'm not getting any voltage at pin 2 , next to ground pin .
              is this...
