AM4 b350 motherboard .... both have a coil getting warm with only 5Vsb present
Hi, I have a couple of AM4 b350 motherboard to fix .... I try to see what I got without installing anything (no memory, no cpu) and give them just 5V standby .... and I have a coil getting warm on both board near memory (1,2v on one, 1,35 on the second one). Is this somehow normal? Because It looks very strange to me.
And can't identify anything else getting particularly hot who can be the sink for this current ...

1050ti asus cerberous: 1.8v present, 1.8v pgood missing ..
I have this weird case where 1.8v is presente but 1.8v pgood is missing preventing the card to post.
The card sometimes post, in particular when mb and gpu are cold e without voltage for long time. If it post, then no problem, it loads the drivers and everything works fine.
the chip who provide 1.8v is an nb671lb.
have you ever had an issue like that on a 1050ti or any other pascal gpu?

Anyway I was trying to bypass the richtek PSU, not ME ... what I tried
was to power ME up with the core 1.05 voltage and give the pgood signal
in another way. Andthe circuit I made actually work fine, but the chipset is dead.... -

I tried this mod with no luck .... so, or the chipset is dead
or it's not quick enough. This because apwrok can be assert before but not after pwrok ...
anyway I can't think of anything different.
In standby VSB put APWROK to 0v .... if SLP_A# rise, the second
mosfet shutdown the first and APWORK rise up to 3,3v

SLP_A# is the signal coming from the chipset enabling the richtek chip .... then
he generates the 1.05me voltage and give the pgood/apwrok signal back to the chipset.

I agree, but before giving up on chipset, I want to try this bypass so
I can be sure it's dead.
I don't think it's a bas idea ... it's easy to put 1.05 on ME from PCH ...
it's right there ... you have only to connect together the output of the two inductors (pl500 e pl502). But what about apwrok? It's needed, otherwise the
board shut down immediately.
Do you have any experience with the pgood signal architeture for x99?

APWROK, alias PGOOD of the richtek chip, is pulled up by a resistor to 3,3v.
Is an open drain pin ...

As the title say, this is pretty common proble with x99 board.
Since the 1.05 ME voltage was too high, I suspect PCH is damaged ... but anyway, I want to give it a try bypassing the PS chip .... the idea came up

Ok, I solved. It was the connector.
First thing I asked to myselft "why everything is reddish" ... so in the samsung pdf
i posted above I checked "what if red is stuck" ... and so tx0 has to be 1 all the time .... and so I checked with my multimeter and the two line were shorted together (a little bridge under the connector not visible from above). Anyway I changed the connector completely (the old one was in bad condition after a couple of soldering/desoldering) and now everything if fine.

I didn't find the datasheet for the samsung panel I am trying to adapt to the vestel, but I find this one below I suspect have the same pinout

You mean I should recheck cable and connectors?
If so, I guess it could be some problem with the tx pins

I didn't spot any difference but flip parameters. Am I right?

Hi, I have a telefunken tv with a broken panel (VES315WNDA-2d-n12). The tv has a 17mb211 board.
Since I had a samsung with a good panel (df320agh-r1) I try to adapt this to the telefunken.
Pinout was almost the same (the only thing I have to move the connect on the 17mb211 according to the image below ... from double lvds to wxga fcc).
Panel is working bad badly. Color is wrong ... image was flip (I was able to correct this playing with ptf.ptf file ... b8HFlip = 1 b8VFlip = 1 to be precise ).
Does any of you have any experience... -
