A2338 MacBook Pro M1 Issue with DFU Restore or revive.

Customer came in with a board issue, board looks clean, board turns on, he did a software update and he got the infamous Apple boot loop logo. He took it to Apple and Apple said he needed a new board. They attempted to DFU revive restore etc no luck. The board is stuck on the (!) point. I tried DFU myself and no luck. Nothing, board boots up goes into DFU computer turns on with Apple logo when applying the patch and nothing it gets stuck at halfway point and hangs on. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this particular issue. Board isn't liquid damage from what I can tell and the board does turn on. Any ideas?

Update: Found the issue. Put a thermal camera on and the Touch Bar connectors were in the 100+ range. Disconnected them and did a DFU revive and success. Bad TouchBar will not let you DFU revive or restore.

Are you replacing the touch bar? May be you will find liquid damage under it?

A2338 - Pristine condition.. I took out of the board and inspected it.. nothing.. as if the computer is barely used even.

Anyway, customer said they tried erasing/formatting it and it got stuck on Apple logo preventing to go further.. I asked them why they tried to erase it from the first place? They said it turned off randomly once.. then they erased it and it worked out for a few days then it shut off again..

I put the computer in DFU; I downloaded the latest Ventura IPSW and restored it.. during the "Installing.." it restarts then it shows the exclamation...

Macbook Air 1466 Backlight and Fan Issue
          by Instafixx
          Hi,
I have a Macbook A1466 820-00165 with a Backlight issue and Fan Spinning Fast.

To Elaborate, the Apple Logo used to come on for a few seconds and the become dim. Somtimes it used to stay on till the password screen.

So we replaced U7701 and the Backlight issue is resolved. But the Max Fan Spin is still there.

Tried replacing the LIO Cable and LIO Board but still its there.

          Macbook Boots Up
After a few seconds the FAN starts spinning at Max Speed. I guess the CPU is throttled too as the it becomes really slow. The board...

          by Dcaub
          Hello
I have a issue with a 820-00850 the mainboard was not going to 20V it stays on 5V - 0.06A . I have checked different voltages and they seems to be ok.
So i have used Apple Configurator 2.6 from another Macbook to program the T2 Firmware. (Seen on a Louis Rossman Youtube)
After this has been done the macbook is starting again so this was causing the problem but it is not starting there is the Question Mark folder on the display.
I have tried to start with Command + R and there reinstall the operating system from Internet but when the download was complete and de...

MacBook Pro M1 (A2338) Help with identify caps etc.
          by Dallas90
          Hi,

I recently got my hands on a water damaged MacBook Pro M1 A2338, and after cleaning the board in a ultra sonic cleaner I tried to boot it up but found a short on CL002 and removed it along with the surrounding parts:CL002, CL053, CL052, CL031.

The laptop is working without the parts it seems but I guess its better to install new/used components, the problem Is that i only have a few MacBook Air A1466 and iPhone Boards to salvage parts from and I cannot find a good replacement for CL031.

So I would really appreciate if someone could help me out....

MacBook Pro 2019 A2141 820-01700 NAND Issue Stuck in DFU

          Ok, here's an issue ive got on a A2141 820-01700 MBP 16' 2019. No signs of life, 5.06v 0.0a on usb-c meter, on each 4 usb-c ports.

          Nand voltages are missing.

I've found no shorts at all so far, no signs of heat via thermal camera either.
