Dear Friends, i have this toshiba a300, before it was not responding to the switch, i came accross that the bios battery has flooded and shorted. so i changed it with the new one. Then motherboard stared and worked couple of hours i closed the laptop. In the morning i tried to open it but again no respond to the switch so i flashed the bios with xeltek pro 500s with the lastest rev from toshiba website. the unit came alive again no problem hours of working but when you shut it down again no respond to the switch. everytime i have to program the bios. Everything seems ok . But why the bios erase itself and i have to reprogram it again and again. Any advice would be very apreciated. Thanks and regards

Re: Toshiba A300-1EC PSAG0E Strange Problem
YOU CAN VERIFY CHIP PROGRAM BEFORE REPROGRAM IT TO KNOW IF IT'S THE BIOS OR NOT.
IF SO JUST REPLACE THE BIOS CHIP AS tomodachi SAID.
AND IF THE PROGRAM VERIFIED SUCCESSFULLY THEN IT HAS TO BE THE "TOKIN CAPACITOR" BEHIND CPU AS LEFOS SAID.Comment

Summary of BIOS Whitelist Removal Problem
Problem:
I am attempting to remove the WWAN card whitelist from my Lenovo ThinkPad T560.
Initial Findings:- My current BIOS version is N1KET58W (1.45).
- I have a CH341A programmer and have successfully created two full backups of my BIOS.
- I have the ability to use command-line tools on a Linux machine.
- I attempted to use several automated and manual patching methods on my N1KET58W (1.45) BIOS, including using hex strings. These attempts all failed.
- I concluded that the

by AquaMan UaHello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. After setting up the BIOS, the laptop displays the wrong image until Windows loads. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...2 Photos

by macabookHello everyone,
I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
🧩 Initial Issue- Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
- External display (HDMI) shows

I am having some problems with the BIOS of my Versapro PC-VRT42FBFR22B.
I extracted the BIOS file (versapro001.bin 16MB) from PC-VRT42FBFR22B ROM (MX77L12850F) using CH341A and NeoProgrammer V2.2.0.10, but I don't know how to remove the BIOS password, so I can't open the BIOS even if I boot with F2.
I also downloaded the BIOS update package (933A0400.zip) for PC-VRT42FBFR22B from the official...-

The laptop was working fine, the only problem was that when I turned it on, the screen was hard to turn on, it would wait for about 30-40 seconds before an image appeared on the screen.
Initially, I updated from windows to Intel Management Engine 11.8 Firmware, restarted, everything was fine.
Then I updated the bios, also from windows, to the last vs, vs 46. It restarted, those lines with bios update progress appeared, restarted and that's it, since then... - Loading...
