HP DV7-1110ed Num lock

Halo ,

I do have problem with not working num lock by this laptop.(no light also)
I did everything i found on the net but no success!
Before i did reprogram bios(with EZP2010 progg.) and i notice that serial number of laptop has gone .
Bios do not see it any longer.I think this has something to do with it
but don,t know what?
Please ,any idea to help !

they change the mobo!
its not the first time i saw that thing happen
try to find the code for the mobo and then go for a bios and reprogram.
CASE ok mobo (not original) not the same model

google for hp dmi tools; is used to write in firmware sn of machine, keyboard area, os installed and so on.

I solved my problem after long search !
I found HP DMI TOOLKIT(modified) there lot of them on net so was not such
easy to take right one who work with DV7-1110ed.
With this tool i put DMI information such as serial number, version number, back in bios and now laptop work fine again.
So thank you very much for support !
I did loose a lot of time but ........

With this tool i put DMI information such as serial number, version number, back in bios and now laptop work fine again.

Problem?
Num lock did not work on my key board (complete).
I did take bios chip away from motherboard to reprogram it.
Somehow motherboard serial number etc. was lost and that
gave such a problem.
Whenever i start laptop i got short massage on screen of missing
serial number , pressing F10 and coming in bios on place of serial number
was nothing.
Than i start to look for a way to wrote it back in bios.
Finely with success .
Boot able memory stick plus HP DMI TOOLKIT(modified just found via google) plus serial number from back of laptop and i got serial
number back in the bios and keyboard now working as it should !
