If i remember bios pw on toshibas is NOT stored in the bios, but into KBC.
Find a named Pad JRSTxxx near RTC battery, or under ram slot (remove mylar if present)
then Remove AC-Power + Main Battery, short Jumper continiously and plugin AC-Adapter + press Powerbutton in parallel, wait for about 5-10 seconds.Leave a comment:

Hello,
i have 2 pieces of this player, showing the same defect: when powered on on display i can read "open hdd" but nothing happens, no video on tv, no response to eject tray, nothing, seems locked.
Anyone worked before on these? can be related to firmware on eprom? or they have some linux appliance installed on hd?

i tried several bioses but hey cause problms to lan and gpu.

Good morning, i have this box, turns on,
no caps blinks; the machine boots, i see the cursor on the screen blinking for few seconds, then restarts, in loop for hours.already reflashed bios, changed cpu,ram.but same issue.
the board don t have the nec supercrap, anyone faced with same issue?
