Re: Remove liquid inside laptop cpu socket S1 AMD
You are right! How did I miss this?? Thought it was the same!
Well I am also getting a short 70 Ohm on 1.1VS voltage L13 and L14 so I guess that it's over... I wish I had a regulated lab voltage supply to inject low voltage. Will do in the future but too many shorted components...Comment

I also thought about making a simple and crude current-controlled source, but I haven't tested it yet. Basically, just a big BJT (TO-220 or bigger) attached to a good-sized heatsink, driven by a potentiometer. Since for BJTs, the C-E current is roughly propertional to the B-E current, you should get pretty decent control of the current, IMO. Like I said, though, I haven't tested it.Comment

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....-

by Flaku_34Introduction:
Hello everyone, this topic is more of a knowledge sharing and look inside type of post, but for someone working on this model of display it might be useful. Recently I bought Acer Nitro XV273 XB MIIPRZX with busted electronic, but screen was intact, price was incredibly low, so I took a gamble and bought the unit and try to fix it. As I dug inside, I found out that my motherboard was not responding, although all voltages seemed fine. I wasn't able to find any reliable information about this monitor on the web (only some pictures of motherboards from Ebay). By some research...13 Photos-

by acedogblastThis is a guide that I am writing for helping others to replace their MEC1503 EC chip if it breaks (or to get around an inconvenient prompt to the BIOS). This forum has been extremely helpful to me so I would like to contribute to help others. I will tell you right now that this task is very difficult to do. You MUST have experience and tools to do precision micro-soldering, BGA reballing, trace repair, and general laptop repair skills.
There are some specialty tools needed to do this task. The replacement MEC1503 chips can be acquired from Aliexpress. Do not buy the bare chips as... -

One friend asked me to see a very slow laptop with strange behavior on windows.
In fact the laptop is old, it was very badly treated and the strange behavior is because the keyboard is broken (random cursor movements in windows).
But it also has a broken DVD Drive, which causes a very slow BOOT at the beginning and for this reason I physically disabled it (I removed the Sata connector that connects to the board)
The notebook must have been dropped a few times, some liquid must have... - Loading...
