There are a lot of Video Tutorials how the SSD of A2338 or A2337 can be upgraded. Normally they say you can order the bigger SSD chips (0 and 1) from China. But as far as I understand you can take the SSD chips of one A2337/A2338 and install on another, put to DFU mode, do the recovery, reinstall etc... I tried that several times (tried to upgrade 256GB to 512Gb, then to 1TB, then to another 256Gb)... nothing worked. So my question to the community is: can I just take the SSD chips from one A2338 and intall them on another A2338 (taking care of course of the 0 and 1 positions)? Or I have always to buy the bigger SSD chips from China?

by SkrndeljHello all,
I am repairing a Macbook A2337 and i have a problem
The Macbook is stuck in restore as someone before me tried a DFU restore and bricked the device, now i can't do a restore as AC2 throws error 1 which is related to the trackpad.
When i turn on the device i get the trackpad click for a few moments and then nothing, i tried 7 trackpads and 7 trackpad flats, i know all 7 are functioning okay, especially one as i use it for testing and DFU restore.
I inspected the whole board and everything seems fine.
Can anyone help me as i didn't fiddle with trackpad... -
by rouninHi everyone,
I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.
🛠 Original Issue
The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.
I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

by classicandyHi Everyone,
Please, I have a MacBook Pro A2338 M2, board number : 820-02773. The speakers and the microphone of the Mac are not working and I need assistance in fixing.
UR730 got damaged and short-circuited the motherboard. After removing the shortened IC; before and after putting the new one I ordered, the speakers [specifically the other one not affected by this IC] and the microphone are still not working. I do have sound through a Bluetooth speaker device or when I connect a headphone with microphone to the jack 3.5mm input. Also, media files do not play unless a... -

I'm working on a MacBook Air M1. I'm pretty sure the U8100 is not working correctly. But I never had to change it before, so I wanna ask anyone of you guys to confirm (or not confirm) my thoughts on it.
