    A2445 MacBook Pro 16" M1 Max issue

Found the short on the board, it is the APL 1098 chip. Chip is shorted, fixed all shorts and now power and found the short at the chip (spiking to around 150 degrees) big chip non the less, I do have a good donor board with a good chip, my question is what does this chip do? Is it serialized to the board if I replace it will it not turn on even if its a good chip. Please let me know. We are fixing a computer for data recovery and we found the main issue (this chip has the apple logo)

So do you believe these chips are serialized to the board? Would a donor board solve this issue, this seems to be a worry about investing into this chip. I know you cannot buy these chips on the market only way to get one is to buy an activation locked board that is useless basically but it works and that is how we verify the chip is good, however these chips are so damn fragile :/
