Lets hope the Sis is ok. I followed the links from bryulo and there is a solution described by Kenttech16.

The onliest problem for me is that the layout from de cx700 is different, so I do see where the pieces of vacant pads are. A different number on the Tokin, but I assume it is de same.

I have put on 2 pcs 330 on the Tokin, but the system still shuts down.
I am going to try 4 pcs now.

        does it shutdown on battery?

Just cook it! It's already broken.

Added 2 more 330, but still a shutdown after 30 seconds.
Very disappointing when your problem gets so exactly described in previous threads, but it is not the solution for you.
Tried with the battery, still a shutdown. Can't check CPU yet.
I'm taking a rest now to think about the next step.

          Happy New Year everybody

dj ricoh, you are the man. I changed the CPU and yes the laptop stays on.
Then I took off the 4 pcs 330 caps and I keep getting a BSOD. So there are more mistakes in this laptop. Put the caps back, no more BSOD. I am going to place 2 more 330 caps, this time on the top side near the processor. 2 vacant places. I guess these are the same places as kenttech16 talked about, but his were on the gx500 board, next to the Tokin.
This I do, because the Sis 672DX and the CLK1 keep getting very hot, maybe this will help.

Thanks again and I will let you know.

!! Everybody all the best wishes for 2014 !!

I agree with you and like the proverb.
However it is not done yet, after 15 minutes he quit again.
I changed the fan and I'm checking for overheated caps to indicate shorts.
I'm thinking on shorts because the 2 IC's getting so hot.
I've also installed HWINfo to monitor the temp, see what happens.
                  I'll let you know

                              Everybody,
Thanks a lot for the help, but I quit.
This fine piece of quality equipment is going in the dumpster.
Did not get any futher than a couple of minutes and not even with the schematics at hand
                              is there anything to find,
So I gather it is the Sis chip and changing that one is not worth it.

Talk to each other on the next topic.
