Acer Aspire 5349-2592 No power

Hello Fellas.

I have a Acer Aspire 5349-2592 with power jack problem.

Once I received this laptop (can't turn on), I proceed to check voltage of the power supply and I get it 19v., but my problem start once I check harness cable end (connect to the motherboard, red and black), I not get it voltage.
I replace twice that power jack with the harness include and still no get voltage on the end of the harness.

Do I need to get 19v at least on the end, right??

there must be a short somewhere. check it first.

Yes, you should get 19V. If DC jack is ok, you have short somewhere.

i saw many acer with power button problem check the click for any voltage and see if it does click

It is strange.

This is the second power jack adapter from ebay.
I try with 3 power adapters.
the continuity from back power jack until motherboard adapter is good.
Any suggest??

Check the coils for 3.3V and 5V. If you have these voltage, check the BIOS (pin 3,7,8) for 3.3V.

thats a toshiba 19v charger the pin configuration its not the same.
the whole its to big for the pin.
try another charger

Was the fuck damn charger.
I try to universal ones and couple Toshibas but I thing Toshiba works with gateway but don't with acer.

i`m happy that the problem is out.
i got to a point that repairing a charger or charging port its like lighting a tigar.
i`m happy for you because you learn something from this forum; i learn alot and still learning.
