    Repair Logic Board MBP 13'' A1278 - K24

    Hi,

I have an macbook pro and only works with charged battery, no power or charge with a magsafe.

I have read some voltages as you can see in the pictures attached.

With the DC-IN adapter out of logic board i have the correct voltages but when i connect it i dont have the voltages correct and are unstable.

What i need to verify to try solve this problem?

    Can anyone help-me please?

    Thanks

Looks like a SMD resistor/diode/capacitor. Can you take a closer picture of it?
      I can put text here?!

Since it is black, its a resistor or a diode. If you can get a schematic for this laptop, then you could maybe identify that.
          I found this: http://schemalaptop.blogspot.com/201...cbook-pro.html

If any of the regulators/mosfets are causing problems (unstable voltages) you should replace them.

But i dont know for where start because when i measure the dc-in board when is connected to logic board the voltages are unstable (between 0 and 15v) but when isn't connected the voltages are ok (stable 6.25v) in dc-in board.

Move the screen and see if anything changes. Did you replace that blown component next to the cable? That might be an issue.
Post a picture of the screen. I they are "artifacts" then you have a bad video chip. I had a Dell XPS M1530 that stripes and spots on the screen (the panel was fine) but it worked with an external monitor.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't

Hi everyone! I'm trying to fix my black screen / failed U8900 GPU v-core on my Mid-2012 Macbook Pro 15" Retinaby doing a rework/reflow of the chip (once I determine that's the real issue; but it likely is).

I've been disabling the GPU in NVRAM for a few years... but it's just time for a better solution.

I'm new to soldering but the only feasible way to fix this issue is to do something myself.

                                      MY QUESTION:
I've been seeing some people (on this forum mostly) run into issues with the logic board needing a serial number or it being deactivated (?)...

                                      Good day all,

I got a 2007 MacBook from a friend. The fan was not working so it was overheating.
Once the fan was swapped, I installed an OS and it worked fine.

The board had quite a few corroded spots so I removed it, touched those spots with a soldering iron, washed the board in PCB cleaning fluid (I've done that many times), rinsed it with distilled water, dried it etc.

Unfortunately it doesn't work anymore. It does turn on, fan spins, power LED turns on. But no picture.

If I see that right, I have missed VCORE on L7100 (page 59)....

Hi dear friends., I am working on a Apple MacBook Pro A1708 , Logic Board 820-00840-A that has no backlight. The logic board powers on fine, but no display. After Checking on the backlight driver chip, I found that the EDP_BKL_EN is missing. And this Power Enable comes from the PCH. So does this means this Logic board cannot be repaired & brought back to life again? The resistance from GRD to the test point of EDP_BKL_EN is around is 0.66M ohms. R8442 (0ohms) is ok. Any suggestion/Tip if any would really appreciate.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.
