burnt mosfet AM4825P_AP
replaced with same but still no power

correct me if im wrong please
but wont the 19v in pin 1-3 of q1001 also goes to pin 5-8
somehow, 19v wont get past mosfet q1001
it seems like mosfet wont switch?

hi guys

as stated in title

both when turned on with pwr bttn, turns off almost instantly

5v,3.3v present
no component heating up
checked all coils to ground, no short

also can i please have a copy of the schematics for this model?
having a very hard time looking for it..

unfortunately pl10, pl 15 and pr178 is good.
al three components have 9.2v

but when checking pin 18 of u16 its 0.7v...

couldnt find it on the internet

sorry for my next question but how exactly do i check for signals?
do u mean voltages? or if its short to ground? can it be done using dmm?

and yes the battery shows on...

voltages of jbatt with battery on:

pin 1 - 9.2v
2 - 9.2v
3 - 3.2v
4 - 0 v
5 - 2v
6 - 5v
7 - 5v

voltages of jbatt without battery
pin 1 - 0.6v
2 - 0.6v
3 - 7 same as with battery

should i replace the charging ic (ISL6251) again?

dont know if its related but pq40 shows short on pin 3 and pin 2, both sides

is that ok?

checked pq35, pq39 out of circuit, both are good
resistance for pr178 is 1.4 ohms in my dmm

dell inspiron mini 1012 not charging batt

hi guys

got a dell inspiron mini 1012 that is not charging

have replaced the burnt charging ic with new one
(ISL6251AHAZ)
now it says plugged in,charging but battery is stuck at 0%
have replaced the battery also but still the same

any ideas?

but already checked all components out of circuit towards the direction of the short, i ended up below the vga chip mcp79mvl-b3
its like the line of +mcp79_core is shorted?..

thought it was normal because in your other post you said that the vga is short and still the 4 x 330uf capacitors worked right?

yes, 7 ohms is without processor plugged

resistancce of
pl3=303
pl4=821
pl5=0
pl6=850
pl7=223
pl8=1013

pl9,pq38 and pu11 are empty
but pins are there see attached photo...

no beeps no blinking lights no change on screen

meter shows there is 7 ohms under nvdia chip

vcore is 0.01

already removed the nec/tokin type capacitor and replaced it with 4 x 330uf tantalum capacitors but still no display

hey guys

have a msi cr400 with no display
already replaced proadlizer capacitor with 4 x 330uf tantalum
but still no display
havent done a reflow yet but checked capacitors under the nvidia chip it shows 7 ohms? is that considered a short circuit?

also dont know if its related or unusual but when plugging in the charger, the led in the charging battery indicator flashes once and then once again after removing the charger

hi guys

toshiba satellite c855-s5352
mb code: DK10F-6050A2541801-MB-A02

southbridge is overheating
laptop turns off after 5-10 mins

board has no short

voltages surrounding and under sb is 0/1.8/5v

any ideas whats causing the heat?

need help please

fixed this acer 4720z no power with shorted ceramic capacitor

now it turns on after 2 seconds it turns off it repeats for 6 times
and then it boots

please help

Hi guys

Acer aspire 4736z KALG0 LA449P not turning on but there is power
But charge light near power switch is on
Checked power switch pin1 its 17.30v, and when pressed turns to 0v
Then back to 17.30v
Is that normal???

Replaced nec/tokin 0e907 with 4x330uf tantalum caps

Please help
