System not working after removing the NEC/TOKIN

I removed the NEC/TOKIN 0E907 to replace it with 4x330uF from Toshiba L300. Unfortunately, I lost the 330uF capcitors and waiting for another shipping. Will laptop works with out NEC/TOKIN 0E907?. My laptop is now turns on but nothing is coming to LCD and feels like dead. Is this lacks of NEC/TOKIN or another issue with LCD screen. LCD was working before the removal of NEC/TOKIN.
One more doubt, Can I use normal cylinder capacitors instead of 4x330uF tantalum?

    Pls help

      Thanks for the reply...
The 33uf tantalum capacitor is rare in my place.
Can I use any other capacitor instead of 4x330uF tantalum?

      Regards..

you can use two 470uF cap for this purpose. you can use ' rs components ' to get the mention caps. website is// in.rsdelivers.com , part no 737-2832. The caps will come to your place in about 7 days any where in India.

If you have problem you can contact me at tapasxplore@gmail.com.
I have also gone through the same problem.

            Hello
By the way u are suppose to put 3caps of 330uf as your prodalizer is 907uf so 3 cap is enough.for a prodalizer nec tokin 1e28 =1280uf u use 4caps of 330uf.incase u want orignal i have in stock the nec/tokin.

The 330mfd have to be 2volt rated and highest esr they only work

Re: System not working after removing the NEC/TOKIN

I've done this 3 times now, and can tell you it will not work without NEC/Tokin - it will power up and that's as far as you'll get. Same will happen if there is a bridge between the positive and negative caps.

Also, use tantalums, don't use the "cylinder" electrolytic caps since they are of a high ESR. On my OE907 I used 4x330uF 2.5v 6mOhm ESR caps.

I have ordered tantalum capacitor from rscomponents(http://in.rsdelivers.com/) but after a month they are saying they dont have service station in my place to deliver the product. I decided to select tantalum instead of NEC/TOKIN is the easiness in soldering. Can anybody send tantalum capacitor to me so that I can pay you or can you pls tell other good site to order it. I only like cash on delivery for secure transaction

Yup, buy something like a faulty 6735s board, they have 4x330uF on by the CPU.

NEC TOKIN 0E907 Fault in Toshiba L510 Laptop - Can I use any of these caps
                        by Chaks
                        Hi,
My old Toshiba L510 Laptop which was working fine with Ubuntu 22 Server till couple of days back. But suddenly I got a blank screen with fan spinning and no HDD activity. I tried all options and zeroed to a suspected/faulty NEC TOKIN.
So I removed the faulty NEC TOKIN 0E907 and want to know if I can use the capacitors I have salvaged from old Motherboard. These caps are from old Mackbook Pro Motherboard and I am not sure if any of these caps will work.
                        Can anyone please guide me....

cracked tantalum cap on a video card. safe to apply power without fireworks?
                        by ChaosLegionnaire
please refer to the attached pics. is it safe to apply power with that tantalum cap like that without causing fireworks? i dont wanna burn a hole through the pcb as the gpu chip is on the other side.

happened to me once before with a shorted mlcc. shorted mlcc on a vrm power phase burned a hole through the pcb power section but thankfully that was nowhere near the gpu chip. but the video card still ended up in the landfill anyway tho as the burn-through was not fixable.

so do let me know what u think of the chipped tantalum there. thanks....

Question about removing the BIOS lock
                        by mustardcheese
Hi all, I have a Dell Latitude 7300 with a locked BIOS and I was curious about the process of removing the lock by editing the hex values of the bin and how to do it. Is editing the hex values of the dumped bios any different than flashing a new one that's already been unlocked? (I currently don't have the correct bin because I realize I accidentally dumped the wrong thing). I am very new to this any help or advice or references would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

how to solder NEC TOKIN IC 0E907 ( conductive glue ???)
                        by lepak06
                        Hello

I need to remplace NEC TOKIN 0E907 for acer laptop but i can t use the airflow gun because the nec tokin ic burnt. And for low temperature <220° the solder paste don't heat. it's low

I seen we can remplace it with 4 x 330uF smd but i want remplace it with original ic.

Can i use conductive glue (which product) or an other solution?

                        Thx

I got this set for very cheap, it works perfectly but the catch is that the protective coating was damaged. About 45% of the screen had a green tint, you can see exactly where the layer changed colors to a blueish tone (that actually makes everything green).

"Ok, that's probably just the anti-glare layer" - I thought. So using a microfiber cloth and automotive metal polish I was easily able to turn it into a nice mirror.

Unfortunately, the damage was beyond this layer and everything still had a horrible green tint. I initially...
