Hi all, I just spent several hours last night disassembling and replacing the DC Jack on this Dell Laptop, I did a close to perfect soldering job when installing the new jack, got it all put back together and it still Will Not charge the battery.
The charger is putting out the voltage, blue light on it is on. The battery is new, my Stepson (this is his laptop) got a new one thinking it was the old battery was bad but that wasn't the problem. I wonder if there's a small fuse in the charging circuit somewhere on the motherboard, or a way to fix this.
Does anyone know of a solution other than replacing the motherboard? your help and replies are very much appreciated.
