    HP530 Not Charging

    hello all

    I got a hp530 on fleabay recently for a few bucks just for the screen really but the guy sent all the motherboard etc so I reassembled it all tried to power up but it would shut straight down. On further investigation I for PQ 3 to be burn't out of all recognition lucky I had a another faulty mobo. I replaced the ao4407 & to my joy the machine powered up stayed on until I pulled the charger plug out. Does anybody know which other mosfet stop the thing running & charging the battery please or does anybody have a schematic of the power/charging circuits on the mobo.

      try to change 2 mosfets. usually if the one is bad the other is also bad.

          I already changed PQ3 do you mean PQ4 on the other side of the board?

              usually there 2 mosfets connected. i need to see the schemtic or pic. i'll try to find the schematic tomorrow.

                  yeh I seen the schematic and it is PQ4 connected to it on the opposite side of the board. Can you confirm this so I don't look a complete idiot!

                      its 01:32 am here now, morning when i arrive to work i'll find the schematics then i can confirm.

                              The charging indicator light on my ASUS X54H laptop is always on even when the charger is disconnected.

                              Windows also shows ''Plugged in'' when charger is not connected.

                              This problem started year ago gradually, when unplugging the charger the charging light took several seconds to disappear, then minutes, and now almost always on even when unplugged for an entire day.
                              Strangely, before sometimes immediately when plugging in the charger the charging light went away, and later came back with it connected.
                              If I let battery run out and say it has 3% Windows will...

                              Looking for some help with this one if anybody can assist please? I have an HP Probook 470 G4 Laptop which recently started to intermittently failing to turn on, with intermittent white LED light(charging LED) by the charging port when it should have been charging and showing an orange LED instead. Definitely some sort of gradual failure. Now the laptop fails to power on at all, no charging LED, no Power Button LED either - seemingly dead.
                              Stripped down to the bare motherboard. The original HP battery, when disconnected from the motherboard, is reading 0.00v - possibly some sort of protection...

                              I have two TCL A30 phones.

                              Old Phone: This phone worked fine for years, then stopped charging If you plugged a charger into it, the phone would make the charging sound, the phone would tell you it is charging, but the battery icon would not have the charging symbol in it and the battery would not charge.I tried new battery, same behavior.

                              New Phone: Works fine, bought as a donor board to try and repair Old Phone

                              My interest here is to repair Old Phone, using components parts off New Phone if needed. I am not interested in replacing Old Phone with New Phone....

                              Hi there. I am trying to repair an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-45 and it's giving me some trouble. I have access to SMD rework station, variable power supply, digital oscilloscope, thermal camera, multimeter, stereo microscope.
                              This laptop will boot and run from the power brick and/or the internal battery, but it will not charge the battery. NirSoft BattInfo tells me the charge/discharge currents, so I'm confident in saying that it's not charging. In addition, there's no increase in voltage at the battery connector when the laptop thinks it's charging, not even a few millivolts.
