    DV4-1435DX dead

no charging light at charging port, won't power up, switch is ok.
tried already changing the charging pin (whole assembly).
tried already replacing the ENE KB926.
5vdc and 3.3vdc are measurable, 3.3vdc at power switch is present.

i'm also requesting for the schematics...

    board: JAL50LA-4101P Rev. 1.0

    thanks...

most likely an reflow issue welcome to hp....even thou they have a lot of power issues as well i am betting on reflow with any dv series hp....

this is intel chipset mainboard that mostly doesn't have videochip problem due to over heating. i only encountered once with Compaq F700 with Nvidia Videochip, no lights at all and won't power up. after reflowing the nvidia chip it power up.

The charging light should be present when power is ok. Ene ic has more than 3 voltages make sure they are all present also LM393 should have voltage like this:

            1)3.3v
            2)1.2v
            3)1.4v
            4)0v
            5)1.8v
            6)1.2v
            7)3.3v
            8)19v

well intel and ati has reflow problems too its not limited to nvidia , one thing they have in common is no lead soldier oh yeah xbox rrod has that in common as well...again no lead soldier ...and many tv's have that problem on their mainboards.... i have had to reflow all but tv's so far...but best way is to reball.. still have to master that skill....

it all comes down to how hot it got......plugged heat sink or heat stress marks on gpu and cpu are sure fire sign it got hot...

but their is a chance its a power issue i would not rule that out entirely either...

here are different reflow symptoms i delt with... no power, power on no video, power on boots but no wireless, turns on shuts right back off, turns on no video to it's own display but will display to vga output... it all depends on what pins came disconnected under the bga chip could be gpu could be south bridge.......and somebody else here not too long ago had one where it would not show dvd drive and it was an hp dv series.........

PU102 is LM393 in my post. All voltages are present.

No they are not recheck and compare. Check the resistors around LM393.

What do you mean recheck and compare? The posted values were the actual readings that I got. Tried already replacing the LM393 but same status.no light at charging pin.

Maybe this is what opamp mean ,

                      Pu102 - (393) Salawayon test
                      Pin1 - 3vdc
                      Pin2 - 1.2
                      Pin3 - 1.4
                      Pin4-0
                      Pin5-19.28
                      Pin6-3.28
                      Pin7-1.2
                      Pin8-1.8

Ok I see what you are doing. All so-8 package chips have pin 8 across pin 1 now you say PD1 has 3.3 volts?? I think you mean PD104 and that diode should be 19v. Check pin 25 on ENE.

Hello, if all voltages seem ok, flash bios, if still not working, replace kbc, still not working replace clock generator. check if laptop drains more current then 0.01A? At least if voltages are ok, bios ok, kbc ok charging light should come, battery should charge. Check if acin acdetect is working, i think there wa resistor somewhere which likes to go up in value so the adaptor is no more detected, check the schematic.
