    Macbook A1708 - 820-00840 5v only

    Hello All,

I've another board 820-00840 that was not turning was on 5V only.

I've replaced U7000 and CD3215's and now the board takes 20V.

I've put the board in the housing and there is chime when I connect charger and also apple logo appears but charger stays on 20V 0.05 - 0.08a it doesn't go higher and after few second it turns off (there is only apple logo and the bar goes to approx 1/3.

does anyone know what is here happening ?

I just noticed as I left the MacBook on charger (lid closed) when I've opened lid there was login screen, but after second or two it goes black.

Did the display go dark due to backlight failure or did the display go off from a movement of the display angle? If angle = flexgate.

Apply a flashlight / torch / roman candle to the front side to see if the graphics are still present after this event.

Macbook A1708 820-00840 Will only run on a charger
          by Instafixx
          Hello,
I have a Macbook A1708 that only runs when plugged into the charger. It will not run off the battery. Changed the battery as well but still the same result. The board is clean with no traces of liquid damage. Little bit of dust here and there. Cleaned it.

          Checked D6950 - Both Pin 1 and Pin 2 Giving 3.4 Volts.

The machine recognises the battery but it shows Battery Not Charging.

What can be the issue here ?

ASUS X54H laptop thinks it's always charging even with charger unplugged
          by flat-earther
The charging indicator light on my ASUS X54H laptop is always on even when the charger is disconnected.

Windows also shows ''Plugged in'' when charger is not connected.

This problem started year ago gradually, when unplugging the charger the charging light took several seconds to disappear, then minutes, and now almost always on even when unplugged for an entire day.
Strangely, before sometimes immediately when plugging in the charger the charging light went away, and later came back with it connected.
If I let battery run out and say it has 3% Windows will...

Macbook A1466 dies when charger disconnected

          Hello all,

Working on my wife's 13' Macbook air. It's been in a box since she upgraded but I figured it could be good practice.

          Details:
          Macbook 13' A1466
          Board (820-3209-A)
          Battery OEM 7.3v 50Wh 6700 mAh (020-7379-A)

I don't know how to test the voltage on a MacBook battery. I just assumed it had an enable pin but the best I could read was 300 something mV poking around the battery connector.

It's an older model and it is very likely that battery has become...

MacBook Pro A1708 820-00840 stuck @ 5V, no power, no charging
          by EpicFix
Hey guys, I need a little help here. I have a MacBook Pro A1708 820-00840 stuck @ 5V. Started off affecting just one port but now it's affecting both. Both CD3215 ics were replaced but the issue remains. One port does a loop and the other stays at a constant 5V. Both CD3215 have 3V incoming. I checked for PP3V3_G3H @ R3000, C3100 and C3108, R3001, C3200 and C3208. The weird thing is though that the ammeter shows the current draw (5V @ 0.5A) coming out from the port as opposed to it going in. Any ideas on helping me fix this?
