Hi , I am new to surface repairs. Machine pops up the Windows Logo whenever power button is pressed and goes away after 2-3 seconds. What can be the issue ? Please guide. -

Macbook A2337 - Not entering DFU
Hello ,
Namaste.
I had a Macbook come in for right. speaker not working. I tried changing audio flex / the audio board - didnt work.
I went on to replace UR930/40 - still the same.
So i decided to pack it and return in.
Now suddenly after 2 days it is not booting into the OS. i get the Apple Logo and the exclamation restore sign.
I tried entering DFu via keyboard - but no luck.
I tried the jumper method but still the same.
SOC_DFU_STATUS is 1.22V ( Goes high)
My host mac is fine as i have done DFU revive today... -

Hi this is my first time reparing a Surface.
I followed the schematics and did some youtubing.
I get 14V on Pin 1 of PD5501
And Pin 2 getting 0.3V.
I get white light on the charger but nothing more.
How do i proceed further ?? i have the boardview -

I have a Macbook A2338 that came in for turning on issue. It turned on once when i had it but then again went off. The amp meter but bootloop. The board was clean - no dust - no green .
I performed a DFU Revive. Got the error 4042. Assumed BAD SSD. But it turned on , worked well for 1 day and again went off.
Anything can be done ?The customer needs data -

Pin#6 is 160K Ohms
Pin#5 is 15.75K Ohms
Pin#4 is 1.5M Ohms
Pin#3 is 1.1k Ohms

820-00165 all_sys_pwrgd low
Hello,
I have a Macbook 820-00165. Customer said it isnt turning on. When it came to me it turned on just once for sometime and the dead.
Upon inspection i found corrosion at R8159 R8158 R8151 R8152.
Replaced them. Still no success.
I checked all the Power Rails.
I am getting PM_SLP_S3_BUF_L 3.3V at R8167 but ALL_SYS_PWRGD is at 0.6V. Thought it looked fine i replaced R8167 too.
Checked from crap below Q8150 as the corrosion was below it. But nothing there too.
Macbook is drawing around 180Amps. -

I have a Macbook A1466 820-00165 with a PPBUS_G3H shorted to ground.
Removed the Fuse and i checked all the tantalum capacitors.
Found the shorted one. Removed it.
Now no Short.
Replaced the capacitor. Replaced the Fuse, but still getting only 1V on PPBUS_G3H.
I thought maybe the fuse was bad. Hence replaced it as well. But as soon as i plugged in the charger, the fuse burned.
What can be the issue here ? -

I had a Macbook A14666 come in for not getting on.
PPBUS_G3H was at 8.15V. Did a SMC Reball and the board started working.
After 3-4 days it again went on.
Again SMC reball and again it starts working but goes off again in 2 days.
I assumed that the SMC is bad. Didnt have a donor board so i ordered SMCs from china. The chip number is the same. After installing the new chip i only get Fan Spin at Max and No Light.
Do these require any programming? Anyone has any experience in this?

Re: Macbook A1932 One Port stuck at 5v.
It was a CD3215 Issue. To my knowledge if one goes bad both stop working but here only the bad chip stopped working while the other was okay.
Replaced the malfunctioning chip and the Macbook works okay now.
