Macbook A1708 820-00840 Will only run on a charger

Hello,
I have a Macbook A1708 that only runs when plugged into the charger. It will not run off the battery. Changed the battery as well but still the same result. The board is clean with no traces of liquid damage. Little bit of dust here and there. Cleaned it.

Checked D6950 - Both Pin 1 and Pin 2 Giving 3.4 Volts.

The machine recognises the battery but it shows Battery Not Charging.

What can be the issue here ?

What is the voltage on the battery?

Remove the power adapter, attach a battery with enough voltage to power the board.

What is the voltage to ground of PPBUS_G3H ?

Battery Voltage is 2.2V.

PPBUS_G3H is 13.2V

This PPBUS_G3H voltage is with only the battery or with the power adapter connected?

Remove all power (no battery), meter in lowest resistance scale.

Measure the resistance at the location of the 2 arrows in the attachment.

We are checking to be sure the current loop path is present and is of the correct value.

This PPBUS_G3H voltage is with only the battery or with the power adapter connected?

PPBUS voltage is with no power ( no adapter and no battery).

You want resistance to ground on each point or resistance across both points ?

No. We want one probe at one arrow, other meter probe at other arrow.

This is to confirm the resistance between the 2 points of interest. The reading must be very close to the schematic shown resistors.

The problem was from the small cable. Changed that. Issue Resolved. Both Old and New Batteries Work fine.

This was very weird as the cable looks totally fine under the microscope.

The small cable from the battery board to the main board.
