Newbie need help with U5200 - ISL9240HI

Hi all, my first post here, trying to troubleshoot an A2388
By following https://repair.wiki/w/A2338_2020_13%22_MacBook_Pro

I followed: PP3v8_AON low or missing
and found that on step 2 and found P3V8AON_PWR_EN missing, also R5340 missing- I'm assuming I need to replace the U5200 if I followed correct

Trying to find where to buy it, from reliable source, did anyone buy from AliExpress with good luck? also when looking around I found the ISL9240HI from different local US websites, but all are pointing to old models, and not showing A2338

Would it work on A2338 if it works on A2289 etc..? it's the same number, but not sure if anything different

Hi. Be sure to diagnose the board thoroughly before replacing this component. It is a very tiny device in a wlcsp package. Even with the rather exotic tools we own, the replacement can be tricky.

Remove power and check the resistance to ground of this missing power rail. Post the resistance measurement.

Do review the YouTube videos on the replacement of the isl9239 which is a similar packaged device.

1) if in a rush and have a business license or can work with someone who does, consider to buy from mobile sentrix in the USA. They have stock at around $8 usd each. Do purchase a few spares.

2) be sure to learn the replacement process with donor boards.

There is another shop who has been a long time volume supplier of MacBook parts in Shenzhen but need to find their details tomorrow.

Would you have the tools for this repair? Flux? Microscope?

On an aside, I have a business travel to Shenzhen for Nepcon in October and will review the service and parts scene once there. Will document and report back. Time permitting, will try to visit the mega electronic parts mall in Shenzhen. Too many meetings with electronic vendors of parts and equipment for the brief visit. Details to follow.

Mon2 Thank you so much for all the valuable info, its great to have a guidance from someone with knowledge, I ordered few from MobileCentrix- thank you for the tips about AliExpress

Will probably work on it once I get the part, and have the measurements done before and post here
