    Macbook A1502 820-3476

    Hello Namaste,

This Macbook came in. It was heating up and not booting. There was light on the charger but no boot.

Macbook was extremely dirty. Cleaned it a little and it started working fine. So we unscrewed the board and cleaned both sides of it.
Post that it booted once and then i just got a fan spin and no boot. Got green/orange light on the charger as well.

Did an SMC Reset and the machine switched on. We thought there may be crap under the SMC. So took the board out . As soon as i connected the charger a component burned out in I/O board. I replaced that component. Now the light is gone for good. Getting PP3v42 and PPBUS_G3H as normal.

I tried using another I/O board and the same component got burned again.
    I am so stuck.

    PPBUS_G3H is at 12.6
    PP3v42 is at 3.4

    No light on the charger.

      Update

I reballed the SMC and the Machine boots up fine and works well. But there is no light on the charger and I am getting "Battery Not Charging " message when clicking on the battery icon.

      What can be the issue?

Check the smbus lines on the battery connector. What is the voltage to ground of these pins?

          Hey,
Thanks for the help. Turns out the component installed on the I/O board was faulty. Changed that and now its working fine. Thank you all for the help.
