    Macbook A1989 - no power

I am missing PP3V_G3H_RTC and due to my skill level, I was unable to properly trace it backwards. What I did find however, just from probing around is a .5ohm short to ground on the caps pictured. One of the caps looked dodgy so I removed it but the short persists.

    Where will I go now?

I don't understand, I'm sorry. But I removed the schematic zip file from this post.

        [SOLVED]Re: Macbook A1989 - no power

Ended up being a bad 22uf cap on the left side speaker amplifier circuit. I found it by injecting 1v3a onto the rail and it lit up like a Christmas tree.

Server space is at a premium so having multiple copies of schematics/boardviews is just wasting space. For the MAC's, most already have them anyway, just need to tell us the board number though rather than the model of the MAC.

Assuming it's 820-00850, are you saying you have a short across PPBUS_G3H_SPKRAMP_RIGHT? This is a PPBUS_G3H short, as all of these sub-supplies are renamed after they go through current sense resistors. Check resistance to ground on F7000.

          Edit: Solved while posting.....sorry

Thank you for the response! Is there a link to donate to BC? This is a valuable resource to me and I'd like to contribute financially.
