Zephyrus G14 no power/charging diagnostic

Hello,

I am trying to diagnose this GA401IV laptop and found that the VOUT (pin 3) on the PU8301 step-down converter has a short to ground. Pin 1 on PCO8301 as well (has continuity to ground). Is the PL8301 coil faulty or is it the PU8301 that is bad?

Hi inductor will almost never fail so it is the mosfet or capacitor

When the highside mosfet fail better replace lowside and the driver ic too if it is dr mosfet just that.

Hopefully it is just the mosfet and is cpu or gpu good.
