Hi all, getting video graphics errors on this Dell BAL20 LA-D801P Rev: 1.0 motherboard . Confirmed it with external dsplay & result is the same. After a good re-flow of the chip, the lines disappeared & works for 45~90 min without errors & once it heats up the AMD 216-0889018 gives up & then lines appear again. New chip of this year version is available & if available it's reballed & then I do not trust these chips as I had a very bad experience purchasing one for another motherboard, tehy never work!! I was checking forums & YT videos & confirmed that there is a way out of this. Can i Disable the GPU all together & work on it's Intel Graphis chip SR2ZU. According to the SR2ZU spec, it has Intelยฎ HD Graphics 620 built-in. How can I get this working as it's dedicated GPU rather than the defective AMD. Any help will be greatly appreciate. Thanks

Re: How to Disable GPU on Dell LA-D801P
Thanks "mcplslg123", I was busy 2 days with family. Now back again on track & back to work. I checked both pages 9 & 25. How will I find these resistors??? No Boardview available so it becomes very hard to find the required components. Do you have any idae where will these resistors be on the motherboard. ThanksComment

by BowlineMy question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?
Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?
My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell... -

by PacoGTHi friends, I have a problem with this laptop. It gives me a processor error, but when I measure the processor, it has power, heats up, etc.
But at first I thought maybe it was the BIOS. I tried reprogramming it, but nothing.
After that, I measured the graphics card and realized that the graphics card has no power.
So I lifted the power coils and checked that there is power, but when it reaches the GPU, they go to ground.
With a thermal camera, I realized that it apparently has a short in a VRAM. After removing the short, it goes to the GPU.
So my question... -
