never seen one, but i know coin counters.
they use optical sensing, check if the lenses are dirty or soldering is bad.
you will find them near where the coins exit the bowl area.

Do you have a manual or information about this, since there seems little information other than brochures for this.

when ever you have mechanical and electronics they need to communicate, the electronics needs to know what state and where the mechanism is. so I would check any switches, optocouplers etc. that are activated by the mechanism.

Janome DC3050 Sewing Machine Pedal Resistance
              by CG2
OK, this is a long shot. I got this sewing machine cheap because it's end of line, ex-display, and had no pedal. The genuine pedal costs £60, while Ebay knock-offs go for around £15. So I went for the knock-off, it doesn't work, and I'm not sure whether it's the pedal or the sewing machine that has the problem.

Now this is an electronic machine, unlike the old fashioned sort where the pedal was a big resistor in series with the power to the motor. Here, the pedal is just (I think) a variable resistor fed with a 5 volt supply, and limited to a current of 5 milliamps. Assuming that...

Broke off RTC Coin battery pin on HP EliteBook 840 G1 - Operating Systems do not load or install
              by nerdmafia
Hi first question posting here, but no need to go easy on me!
I have an HP EliteBook 840 G1 non touchscreen. The symptoms are that: Repairing or reinstalling windows freezes no matter how i try it. Live Ubuntu that works on any other computer also freezes while trying to load it. The RAM sticks and the harddrive work fine in other computers. I broke off the connector by accident, CN4750 and was using the laptop for a while with no coin battery. According to this schematic I found on here, which I THINK is the correct schematic, pins 2, 3, and 4 should short to ground, and they do....

How to stabilize AC voltage to CNC machine
              by unimatrix93
Hello there everybody, I'm not sure if it's the right topic to ask this but I hope so.

I have a CNC machine wired to 3-phase 230V AC.

It's a smaller CNC machine with a 3500W motor, do it does not uses much power.

The problem is, when the residents come home and put load on the network, the voltage can drop to around 207V which is fine for most household items but by CNC machine stops working from this.

I contacted the electricity company but they refuse to help me solve this problem.

So I started to look around for some DIY...
