    Another PS3 PSU mod

I have another PS3 power supply LSEB1226B1 model.

Some time ago, I have successfully modified output from 12V to 13.8V
    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=33197
With help of members,it was really easy to do.

This supply is a little bit different, there are four photocouplers just like APS-231, but I did not find three pin regulator which is connected to "12v reg" photocoupler like in APS-231 model before.

    Please see the pictures.

Two chips are M34509G4 and LSSK87
    first one is SINGLE-CHIP 4-BIT CMOS MICROCOMPUTER,wtf?

it seems that this is some kind of PWM..

              Found it

it's on top side of PCB, now from this point, we need huge resistor, more than 100K ohms and connect it between this point and ground, voltage will rise till about 15V then OVP kicks in.

              Merry Christmas fellas

ASUS TUF X570-PLUS doesn't power on: no VRM_EN signal.
                by ShadowAi
Hello, I have an issue with the motherboard. Specifically, it doesn't power on, more precisely, the POST initialization doesn't occur.

Let me start from the beginning, the motherboard suddenly stopped working one day. There are no beep signals from the speaker, and the debug LEDs are not lighting up. After inspecting it under a microscope and using thermal imaging, I didn't find anything that could be damaged.

After that, I began voltage measurements, in which I noticed the absence of VDDQ, VDDP, VTT, and VPP lines. Later, I checked if there is an EN state on these lines,...

Samsung 933HD (LS19CFEKF/EN) no power repair
                by Chungalin
This 19" Samsung TV doesn't turn on anymore. I check secondary voltages, none. Nothing shorted there. 320V in primary side, OK. Nothing looking bad at that side either.

I think about replacing photocoupler and 431 regulator. When I unsolder PhotoCoupler I notice what I call "creeping metallization" in PCB, between two PC legs (can't remember if it was in primary or secondary side). Then I look closely at photocoupler and there's an evident metallization between two legs!! Clean it with IPA and brush, and the problem is gone!

                Then, so far, I've detected...

Panasonic TX-37LZD80F repair, intermitent relay click, low standby 5V, photocoupler
                by Chungalin
This LCD TV had an intermittent failure consisting of unstable 5V standby. When standby 5V drop to 3V, relays click and TV resets. Sometimes it does this from cold state.

I tried to heat all components related to 5V standby (switching regulator IC7000 SanKen STR-A6159, diodes, photocoupler PC7000 Panasonic CNC1S171R "3171 R", shunt regulator IC7001 Mitsumi MM1431AT "1431A"), with no changes in behaviour. Tried in cold state and hot state, apparently no differences. Vibration and knock test negative.

                I changed STR-A6159 with STR-A6151, no improvement....

                Hi all,
this unit comes from a samsumg LCD TV LE32C530F1W which stopped working after making a strong noise like something was exploded inside of it.
I opened it and found that fuse FP801S was blown, capacitor CP814 was completely disintegrated and MOSFET QP801S was shorted.
I replaced all of them and instead of the fuse I connected a 100 Watt bulb. Then, without connecting it to other TV boards, I switched it on, but the bulb begun to blink.
I thought that maybe the bulb was somehow interfering with the normal operation of the power supply, so I replaced it with a fuse,...
