PS5 CFI-1016A DISK shuts down only when playing ps4 games error ce-108262-9

Hello there,

ps5 cfi-1016a disk console
Problem: ps5 shuts down when playing ps4 games after cold boot with error code ce-108262-9.
After the shut down the console boots up normal and then the ps4 game functions without a problem.
ps5 games run allways without any problems after cold boot.
Thats absolutely curious....

I have already rebuild database, clean cache and reinstall latest firmware with usb stick in safe mode.
That doesen´t help
Furthermore i have opened console and renew liquid metal on gpu.
This all doesn´t help....
i have played with settings... disable hdcp, lower resolution, disable rest mode...
nothing helps

any help appreciated ????

Does this happen on all PS4 games or are you testing the same game every time? If you are only testing with 1 game, try another one and see if its any better / worse / different.

Which game(s) are you trying to run?

no on all ps4 games i have tested
tekken7 and so on

According the the PlayStation website this error code means "There may be a problem reading the system software or application data"

So first step would be a total format of the console and start fresh with install of the latest SW, if it still happens then I would be looking at the SSD / SSD Controller, because other than that it is likely to be something with the APU itself where certain specific PS4 cores / features are utilised within the APU and the pipeline is stalling as it tries to pull data from the SSD or render parts of the game, thus bringing up the error.

Can't say I'm too hopeful on this one, but hopefully I am wrong and someone with more experience of this issue can weigh in, but start with the basics and do a full system reset (not just database rebuild) / SW update.

i have found one solution to use this console......
After cold boot i have first to start a ps5 game, only start it and then cancel the ps5 game.
And then all ps4 games runs without a problem...
Very curious this console,, i don´t think this is a hardware failure.....
If the ssd or ssd controller or the apu have a failure, no ps5 games will function without a problem...
if you always start first a ps5 game and then a ps4 game the console runs without a problem then with ps4 and ps5 games.....

Furthermore i have already done a full reinstall of firmware from safe mode...

Very very curious this console, never have seen such failure before....
