Re: PS5 BLOD- CFI-1115A Disc Version- Board= EDM-020
Cleaned up some solder joints and now it jumps to 59ma and back to 26ma. I have a southbridge on order. Pretty sure we are on the right track. Time will tell.Give the video below a watch, it's 1h long but pay attention to the console symptoms (sometimes works but with no Wi-Fi, sometimes blue light, sometimes 3 beeps) and pay attention to what he says about the 8mA current draw around 30 mins into the video and again the 10mA current draw (after replacing the damaged part) like you are seeing due to the 32kHz oscillator not running what he ultimately finds out the issue is (southbridge!).
Not 100% identical to your issues but there are obvious similarities…I also prefer this guy to any other YouTuber that does console repair, he is very methodical in his approach, thinks about what he is doing and rarely fails to fix the issue. He also does PSU repairs on camera which is interesting to see as well seeing as most people run away from PSU faults and just replace the whole PSU as they are afraid to work on them.

Thank you.

Re: PS5 BLOD- CFI-1115A Disc Version- Board= EDM-020
Update: New BIOS chip programmed with known good BIOS BIN. Same issue. 0.01 current draw. I have purchased a PSN banned board off of ebay. Going to compare voltages , verify. This may be the APU or Southbridge. Not sure. More investigaing needed.Leave a comment:

Re: PS5 BLOD- CFI-1115A Disc Version- Board= EDM-020
Oh sorry i missed that. 40 celsius to 85 celsius. Well the highest i have seen is 60 celsius on the chip to the left of the APU. The one below the RAM chip is running low 40's to 50.Leave a comment:

They should get warm, check the datasheet for output voltages.Leave a comment:

Re: PS5 BLOD- CFI-1115A Disc Version- Board= EDM-020
There are (2) 3219A chips on the board that appear to be heating up. The first is located left of the APU and the other is located just below the bottom left RAM chip. If i had a known good board i could see if these chips getting warm normal or not. Anyone else have a EDM-020 board? Maybe we can work together to fix two units?Leave a comment:

i have no idea, never even had a ps5 on my bench.
i'm just interested in documenting/decoding the syscon content for future uses.Leave a comment:

Re: PS5 BLOD- CFI-1115A Disc Version- Board= EDM-020
Stj,
I will check the BIN I backed up later today for that entry. Have you personally been able to find any diagrams of board voltages. I may make one for the board i have. Cod3r has some great vids showing the voltage power rails. But i would love to open up a pdf and be able to reference on the fly. I may buy a psn suspended known good working board and take the rail readings from there. Just curious. Thank you.Leave a comment:

Re: PS5 BLOD- CFI-1115A Disc Version- Board= EDM-020
Update: I erased and flashed the original bios chip with original BIN. No change. Still waiting for new bios chips to arrive. Anyone have a diagram they have obtained or created that maps out all the known good board voltages for EDM-020?Leave a comment:

Re: PS5 BLOD- CFI-1115A Disc Version- Board= EDM-020
Well i ordered 10 Winbond 25Q16JV chips from Digikey. Plan is to flash backed up bin to new chip, re-solder and pray. Haha But i will keep digging at these entries and where to find them. Will try to find a common placement. Thanks stj!

Re: PS5 BLOD- CFI-1115A Disc Version- Board= EDM-020
the only way to find it is to compare several dumps and identify the other stuff so only the drive key remains.
unfortunatly when people do post dumps you dont know the serial/mac's etc to look for them in it.

Re: PS5 BLOD- CFI-1115A Disc Version- Board= EDM-020
Yeah the cypher key is the hard one to find. I remember with the PS4 there was a extractor app that would pull that specific info and make a small BIN to edit with a hex editor.Leave a comment:

Re: PS5 BLOD- CFI-1115A Disc Version- Board= EDM-020
in theory there should be:
model,
serial,
ethernet mac,
wifi mac
and maybe the cypher-key for pairing the optical drive.Leave a comment:

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by m1ch43lzmHi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic... -

Good Afternoon fellas,
Issue:
Disc is showing as not supported when a disc is put in.
Here's what I've done, you can skip this if you just wanna know the question:
- replaced with a disc drive from a donor ps5 (honestly questionable if this is known to work)
- reflowed the disc drive connector
-reflowed the chip in question (shown on image)
- I will say this console was very dusty so it's conceivable that it got so hot that it made the chip joints cold and potentially other things on the board
Question:

by howardc64All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
- TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
- Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

by HakuuHi There,
This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.
After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.
