    Dualshock4 strange behaviour

    Hi,

I have dualshock 4 controller that works fine except for the fact that after being plugged in to a pc or ps4 and then unplugged the PS button stops responding, ie. you get no white flashing as if the controller is completely dead. the only thing you can do to remedy it is to use the reset button on the back at which point the PS button starts to function correctly again and even allows you to use the SHARE and PS button to connect to a pc and play games however if you plug it even for a second in a pc or ps4 the next time you try to turn on the controller it does nothing, to me it seems like a possible firmware issue but not sure. Even if you plug in the controller while it is paired to a pc via bluetooth you won't be able to turn the controller off by holding the PS button for 10seconds as if the PS button completely breaks

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

HP Envy 13-BA1565na with intermittent power button
    by themosttogain
Hope someone can give me some suggestions on this because i'm at my wits end with it...

I have an Envy 13-BA1565na here with an Intel Core i7 i7-1165G7 CPU (board is a LA-J475P Rev 1.0) which has an intermittent power button issue. The power button is integrated into the keyboard, and I have ruled out the keyboard, BIOS and battery as being the issue.

Basically, on mains power, the power button works fairly well. The first time you come to it after leving it sitting (either on charge or not on charge), it might take 2 or 3 presses of the button, but then the laptop boots...

ASUS ROG Strix- G513IH-HN008, G513-6050A3249301- MB-A04 (A4) damaged Embedded Controller
    by master3112
    I have an ASUS ROG Strix- G513IH-HN008, motherboard G513-6050A3249301- MB-A04 (A4)

When I received the device, the device has no function. After an investigation, I found that the PWM CONTROLLER RT6575B (U6100) is getting warm and there is a short circuit at the 3V3 output. This normally supplies 3V3 for the embedded controller IT5571E-128 (U301). When measuring and analyzing with a thermal imaging camera, I found that some components are damaged: SLG4E42553VTR (U8500), IT5571E-128 (U301), LAN RTL8111H (U450), LOGIC 74LVC1G08GW (U1900), RT6575B (U6100) All these components are on...

    HP ZBook 15v G5 - Weird behaviour/issue related to USB-C/TBT
    by Sephir0th
    Hello community,

This will be the device of your nightmares. I can't count how many hours I spend to fix it, but it was already way to much...

However, I really hope for some insight from experience because I have this nice HP ZBook 15v G5 here which came in completely dead, even +VREG3 not working although it wasn't shorted. Previous repair attempt by a somehow professional repair shop, since I noticed action around the controller responsible for +3VALW and +VREG3 without it making worse. Way later I noticed the PCH was replaced and even later I realized +3VALW...

Xbox One Controller - Phantom stick activity (sticks completely uninstalled)
    by Aimbit
    Hi All,

I bought some used Xbox one controllers "as is/untested" and they both have the same issue. The joysticks go wild for no reason while plugged in.

    https://youtube.com/shorts/YTYtjUPkBX0?feature=share

I removed both joysticks assuming it was an issue with the sticks, but the video posted here is the activity of the sticks with no sticks installed! My only guess is one of the tiny IC's that reads the inputs is broken. There are two small ones near either joystick, and then one larger one. I found a replacement on Aliexpress for the larger one...
