krhms519, I didn't remove the password, hoaca388 removed the password for me. Post the backup of your bios in this thread and one of the experienced members will do it for you.Comment

Hi hoaca388,
I want to understand what you did to unlock the BIOS password. It is mostly for personal learning on this.
I downloaded both the original password reset file, and your unlocked one, and open them both in a hex editor to compare and see the differences.
I saw you replaced some elements with FF to reset stuff. Your are requesting the Serial numbers though, so where is this info going in the bios ? Is there actually any S/N in the BIOS, or is it really just reseting some actions in the BIOS ?
Thanks for the explanation, I am very curious
PS : Sorry for taking out this thread, but since it's the same machine, I thought it was ok to do so.Comment

by zeniusHello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...-

by bios-banditHello Badcaps People,
This is my first time posting here, but I've understood this is the best place when looking for expert assistance! Thanks for having me.
My problem is the following: My laptop (used to... see below) works good, except that the bios/UEFI settings are locked behind an "System Password". This is strange, since I've bought it new and can't recall setting the password. I've contacted the seller, no luck. I've contacted Lenovo, they can't/don't help. I've also tried other methods, with no luck. A repair shop has tried to update the bios to solve...-

by Johnny hHello,
I'm hoping someone can assist me.
I have an Asus Vivobook 16x Pro OLED laptop which has a BIOS password, and I can't seem to find it.
It still boots into Windows (boots from whatever SSD is installed but not from USB).
The model number is M7600R and serial number is N8N0CX03H71131C.
I tried AMITSESetup Decryptor but the password I got doesn't make sense (it's got a line break and special characters).
I also tried to use *************** MOD EDIT ,redacted************** and it also gave me the funny password of

by traxformaniaHello,
I'm using TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" model laptop for over 3 years and i'm entering the same bios administrator password everyday. My laptop has Aptio BIOS (American Megatrends, AMI).
But today it's not accepting my password. I'm %100 sure i'm entering the correct password.
I'm trying to reset my bios without success.
I tried :

Summary of BIOS Whitelist Removal Problem
Problem:
I am attempting to remove the WWAN card whitelist from my Lenovo ThinkPad T560.
