Flashed ,password dissapear , system ID dissapear ,and MPM locked. I can't introduce the system ID ,and all the data .

Finally i manage to flash another version of the bios found on this forum .
Now i can put the system ID on the machine.

Hi there,
I just bought used HP ProDesk 400 G6, BIOS locked, tried to reset password with CMOS clear which didn't work. I also tried to find rom for this PC cause I have CH351A, but there is only useless '.exe'. So I was curios if I can use any other rom from here edited by hoaca388? Thank you!

post S/N, full name and model, motherboard model, product number,etc.


better post the original bios of the laptop so someone can delete your password...

I tried using CH341a and SOC-16 clip on chip itself(GD25B256DFIG) but as some guys before NeoProgrammer shows "IC not responding: as well. I am a noob in this area of computing and don't really understand how some other users actually succeded in reading rom from this IC. I really need your help guys. Thank you very much!

The bios chip must be unsoldered from the board before writing or reading..
do not use the clip, you may have errors..if you do not have anything to unsolder it with,
solder wires between the programmer and the bios chip..

Hi,

I have a HP Prodesk 400 G6 Mini, there is a password, could you help me remove it ?

I've dumped the bios using flashrom on a raspberry pi using the spi interface.

I've made three dumps and two are identical using diff and can be opened with UEFITool and password confirmed at the "UserCred" location.

Model : HP Prodesk 400 G6 Mini
Serial No: 8CC1241JNS
Product No: 294W6EA#ABF

Also if using a raspberry is not reliable i have a CH341A coming in a few days (and will wait for it in order to flash)

I've already tried this option, but as my BIOS file is 32Mb it's not accepted on RC Unlocker,
I should have mentioned that or the size in my message

I've managed to remove the password with HP Unlocker (i confused with the RC Unlocker)

I'll try to flash later this evening

Flashed with success and no password on bios anymore !
