Hello. I'm still learning the motherboard repair, but now I'm stuck. I have Gigabyte GA-P31-DS3L motherboard. When I turn on PSU, all fan spin, but nothing else happens. I found a shorted MOSFET, removed it. I haven't been able to put a new one in place yet, but the motherboard is still doing the same.
I don't understand the connection either, since I removed the ITE chip, now the motherboard won't turn on, but PS_ON for some reason 7.5V and the voltage is slowly going down. If I short it, the power will turn on and the same voltage will appear on the power button. I thought the ITE would send power to the power button(such as notebooks).
What can cause such a problem? If I unplug the power from the motherboard then PS_ON is 5V.
